Do you remember how fun it was to dress paper dolls? Well today’s tutorial is just as fun creating your own doll and turning it into a beautiful card. This absolutely gorgeous card was created by Delaina Burns. You can see more of her outstanding projects on her blog Delaina’s Embellished Memories.
Can you believe that this doll is a rubber stamp? Let’s get started creating this beautiful card. First cut a piece of patterned paper 7-1/2″ long x 8-1/2″ wide. Score the length at 4-1/4″ for card. Cut a piece of patterned paper 7 x 3-3/4″ and adhere to card face. Ink or paint multi layers of color on swirl chipboard and adhere to the card. Next you will prepare your doll as follows. Begin by stamping your doll image on a sturdy cardstock and fussy cut her out. (Skin tone colored paper works well) Next, stamp the image as many time as needed and with as many different papers as you want to fussy cut her clothes and her hair band. Take a few minutes to color her hair and even her accessories. You can use your colored pencils for this. Next add flowers, bling, and a sentiment inside to finish off your card.
