How’d They Do That? Stamped Candle Tutorial

By

Fall decor adds a certain warmth and comfort to our home as the temperatures drop here in Colorado.  I thought today’s project is not only perfect for our home but would make a wonderful hostess gift too.  It is really so easy to make and the end results look totally professional!
I created this gorgeous decorative candle with a new stamp from JustRite Papercraft called Autumn Damask Background Stamp
The trick here is to not stamp on the candle itself but rather onto white tissue paper.  After heating the tissue paper onto the candle with a heat gun the layer of wax under the tissue paper melts into the tissue creating the illusion that the candle has been stamped on 😉  Here’s how…
1. Stamp background design directly onto tissue paper.
2. Trim the paper
3. Add a dab of glue to the corners and lightly adhere it to the candle (I needed two panels to wrap around my candle)
3. Heat the tissue with a heat gun.  The layer of wax under the paper will melt into the paper.
