Hello, my artsy friends, welcome to the weekend! Sundays were meant to be relaxing so sit back, enjoy, and let those creative juices flow!
“Oh Snap, The Struggle Is Real” by Laura Vegas
I must confess, I typically don’t scrap about myself, so this layout really inspired me to include myself more often in my scrapbooks. Try to include things that make you smile – your hobbies, favorite places, favorite foods, stories, challenges, etc. You and your family will be glad you did.
This layout designed by Laura Vegas is a perfect example. It has all the elements of a well thought out design. It has a fun and creative title, perfect photos to support the heartfelt story, and the journaling shares something that is important to Laura. I hope that you’ve been inspired to include yourself a bit more in your scrapbooks. Keep up the good work in scrapbooking your journey.
Isn’t this the cutest little card? The file/card base was created using Paper Smooches File Folder Die. At the risk of being accused of being an enabler 😉 , I think this is one of those dies that we need in our lives. This die has unlimited possibilities; you can extend the size of the folder with your paper trimmer or scissors. This means you can customize your file folders to fit any project like pockets in your scrapbooks, as a card base, to use as a gift card holder, to make tabs to organize your treasured supplies, etc.
I could keep going, but I’m sure you have your own ideas. Be sure to stop by Michele’s blog Paper Cuts anytime you need a burst of inspiration.
No worries, you still have time to make a cute card for Dad! I thought you would be inspired by this fun card designed by the very talented Jinny Newlin. What a perfect way to let Dad know that he is a real superstar in your eyes.
It’s hard to believe that this unique design started out as a plain piece of white cardstock. To see all the fun techniques that were used, click here and I will take you over to visit Jinny; you’ll be glad you did. Happy Father’s Day next week to all you amazing super star dads!
DIY Lap Desks ( No Sewing Required)
Is your dad always on his laptop? Why not make him his own portable lap desk? With everyone on some type of portable device these days, this is one gift that is sure to be appreciated.
You might want to make several of these great lap desks; they will make a great gift for your college students, you know the girls are going to want one, and of course you need one in your favorite color. Click here and I will take you over to visit Emma on her blog A Beautiful Mess where she will take you step-by-step on recreating your own lap desk.
The Chew’s Baked Artichoke Chicken
This award winning recipe has been past around for years. It originally aired on a show called The Chew, where it won first prize. This is Donna Giblin’s Baked Artichoke Chicken: (adapted from ABC’s The Chew) You’re gonna love it!
Tell me this doesn’t look and sound amazing. I discovered this recipe on Stacey Snacks; click here and I will take you over for a visit so you can print out this yummy recipe. Bon appetit!
Thanks for stopping in for a visit, I’m looking forward to seeing you back soon. Wait until you see what I have to share with you next Sunday! 😉 Have a beautiful week.
