Hello again! With summer weddings on the horizon, I wanted to share a 7″ x 5″ cut file that you can use for a bridal shower: You’re Getting Married card
A bit of gold is a lovely touch for any wedding-themed card, and this gold paper by American Crafts worked perfectly to back the word “Married!” and to punch a small heart from. I cut the sentiment from some Echo Park paper. I love that light teal watercolor! Pink or black would also work well as the paper you cut this sentiment from – really, nearly any color could work with the gold, so it’s easy to customize this card to the bride’s wedding colors.
After cutting out the sentiment and taping a strip of gold paper behind “Married!”, I sewed the paper to the front of a 7″ x 5″ cream cardstock base and added a punched-out heart. Normally I leave the insides of the letters out, but in this case I thought it looked better to add back the inside of the “R” using a glue dot.
That’s it for this card! Nice and simple. It’s 7″ x 5″ as is – you could resize it to be larger, but because of the thin-ness of some of the fonts, I probably wouldn’t go smaller without a fresh blade on your machine.
If you make something with this cut, we’d love to see it! Share your creations in the comments, on our Facebook page, or in our Flickr group. Thanks for stopping by today!
