Have you ever tried painting on a card? This Liquid Gold Gilding Paint by Martha Stewart was so much fun to use and has a really neat sparkle to it, even after applying it to cardstock!
First up, I stamped a “hello” in the center of my card base with the Let’s Get Away stamp set by Studio Calico. You can find it HERE. I used a paintbrush to apply the paint to the card in a heart shape. I did want some of the brush strokes to show, as I didn’t want it to look too perfect, so I brushed it on lightly.
Next, to add some polka dots to my card, I used the end of a pencil eraser dipped in black ink and stamped them randomly around the heart.
What an easy card design that is quick to make, yet elegant. A package of these would make a nice gift, don’t you think?
To create the “Cheers!” cards, I simply masked off strips on black cardstock and painted in the stripes with the Liquid Gold Gilding directly onto the black cardstock. They turned out so shiny and neat! I wish you could see them in person!
I hope you will give paint a try on your next card. It goes to show that you don’t need tons of stamps and scrapbooking supplies to make beautiful cards.
Have a great week!
Danielle
