Hello.my crafty friends, and welcome back to Weekly Scrapper! I’m hoping today finds you all enjoying a beautiful fall day. I’m honored to have the opportunity to share the following projects with you, so sit back, relax, and enjoy – it’s time to partake in a little creative therapy!
Then And Now Layout By Nicole Nowosad
Our children grow so fast; time seems to go by in the blink of an eye. I love how Nicole took a photo of her son on the first day of school and scrapped it along side of a photo taken 10 months later during the last day of school. It’s layouts like these that make me want to rewind the clock and shoot some similar photos to scrap. I am so inspired by this sweet layout that I might even have to re-scrap a layout or two! 😉
What a great way to preserve those amazing school days; after all, isn’t that why we scrapbook – to forever freeze those special times in our lives. I love how the page was split in half, keeping things monochromatic on each side of the layout. Using similar embellishments and black & white photos was a perfect choice. Click here and I will escort you over so you can see how easily this sweet layout comes together.
Steampunk Pumpkin Card by Jan Hobbins
While spending some quality time on Jan’s blog In My Own Imagination I immediately fell in love with this little work of art. I have a soft spot for anything steampunk and combining the gorgeous fall colors was definitely a winning combination.
I must confess, I don’t always give the inside of my cards the love that they deserve, and after seeing the inside of this treasure I am extremely inspired to kick things up a notch Who wouldn’t feel the love that was put into this handmade piece of art? Jan used the Sizzix Thinlits Die Set – Gearhead; there are 22 gears in this set and the die used on the inside of the card is a corner gear collage. I love it!
I don’t know about you but I seem to take tons of pictures during the fall season. I’m just thinking out loud here, but wouldn’t this design make an adorable cover for a Halloween mini album? I know your very creative mind is spinning about now, but not to worry, click here and I will be happy to take you over to Jan’s blog so you see exactly how she created this amazing card. Thanks, Jan, for continuing to be such an inspiration to your fellow paper crafters.
DIY Gold Geo No-Carve Pumpkins
I love to carve pumpkins but sometimes I don’t have the time for the mess. Thanks to Chelsea you can create these adorable mini pumpkins in no time and all you need are two simple items – the pumpkins and a gold paint marker. Chelsea used a gold Pen Touch marker on this project. Doesn’t it look elegant on the white pumpkins?
You really can use any pumpkin big or small, orange or white, and of course the paint markers come in lots of colors so just have fun with it and let your imagination run free!
