Sundays With Lorraine

Welcome back to Weekly Scrapper! I am honored to have the opportunity to share today’s fun projects and I hope you enjoy them as much as I have enjoyed gathering them to share.

I love it when something this cute comes together so quickly. Click here and I will be happy to escort you over to the blog After Dorms.com so you can download the free pocket watch printable. While you’re in the neighborhood be sure to check out all the other holiday projects.

How To Create Felt Ribbon From Cardstock

We’ve all been there – you are designing a project but realize that you don’t have the right color ribbon to add that finishing touch. If you don’t have a coordinating color of ribbon that fits the style of your card not to worry, dive into your cardstock collection and make your own! I highly recommend stopping by Kimberly’s blog Stampin By The Sea to check out her video on creating your own cardstock ribbon.

I hope you’ve been inspired to give Kimberly’s technique a try; it’s definitely a great tip that you are sure to use time and time again. Creating paper ribbon out of cardstock is going to open up all kinds of opportunities to embellish your paper crafting projects. It’s also a great way to use up some of the scraps that we all seem to collect.

Happy Hanukkah by Laura Bassen

With the first day of Hanukkah on December 24th, we are running out of time to create our handmade cards. Not to worry, with a little help from our creative friend Laura you, too, can create several of these little beauties in no time.

I discovered this sweet card on Laura’s blog a while back, and I double checked and you’ll be happy to know you can still purchase the Kibitzing Two stamp set on the Paper Smooches website. It was the soft yellow glow at the bottom of the card that first caught my eye; it reminded me of the soft glow of a Menorah. May the glimmer and glow of each candle you light bring blessings, warmth, and make your days bright.

Shrimp & Veggie Pesto Pasta

This shrimp and pasta recipe is definitely becoming a family favorite in my house. The combination of the southern style spicy shrimp, creamy pesto, mellow veggies, and pasta is a marriage made in heaven.

I’d like to send out a virtual hug to Jenn for sharing this recipe with us. Click here and I will be happy to take you over to Jenn’s blog Peas And Crayons so you can print out the recipe. I highly recommend stopping by Jenn’s blog anytime you’re looking to kick things up a notch in the kitchen – she truly is a culinary genius. Bon appetit my hungry friends!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have an amazing week ahead of you. See you next Sunday and hugs to all!
