Saturdays With LeAnn

Oh Happy Day

Hello, my friends!  Welcome back to another inspirational day here on Weekly Scrapper.  I have been collecting some really fun projects to share with you today.  I hope you can find some time this weekend to create some of your own.  Thank you for sharing a part of your Saturday with me, and enjoy the inspiration!

Oh Happy Day By Mona Pendleton

If you love Mixed Media then you will love today’s inspiration.  I fell in love with the mixed media influenced background, the subtle textures, and the beautiful colors on this layout. They really complement this precious photo. What a gorgeous background that these different mediums created on such a lovely layout.  Mona gives a perfect example of how to include the artsy mixed media style without overpowering her precious photo.  This piece of art is all about texture, technique, and a whole lot of imagination.

Oh Happy Day

This layout was created using clear gesso, then allowing it to dry to create a lot of texture. Mona used texture paste along with the memory box Texture Chicken Wire Stencil. After the gesso was dry, Mona randomly applied various colors of paint to give it a watercolor look.  She created such a masterpiece!  Let me escort you over to  Poppy Stamps blog where Mona will give you a tutorial on how she created her layout.  Be sure to visit the  Cupcake’s Creations blog where you will be over-the-top inspired by Mona.  You won’t want to miss out on any of her fantastic projects.

Happy Easter By Cindy Lawrence

Have you tried digital stamping yet?  Digital stamps are becoming increasingly popular.  They present a stamper with a whole new range of crafting opportunities.  Today I would like to share this darling Easter card created by Cindy Lawrence.  Cindy really has a talent with her coloring technique using Copic markers. The fact that this image is a digital file, you can print it as many times as you desire.

Happy Easter

One of the attractions of a digital image is that the images can be resized, flipped to create a mirror image, or manipulated in other ways before printing it.  You can color it in the same way that a rubber stamped image is colored.  This will give you a new design opportunity.   Click here and I would love to take you over to The Creative Closet where you can see the different colors of markers that Cindy used to create her masterpiece.
