Happy Saturday my friends, and thank you for joining me today! I want to share some fun projects created by fabulous designers, and of course a yummy dessert for your summer gatherings! I hope you can take some time to sit back and enjoy the inspiration. Enjoy!
Pocket Pages By Amy Little
It has been awhile since I shared pocket page ideas. This past week I went on a fabulous vacation with my family. I decided I was not going to put these memories in an envelope and hope to scrapbook them one day. The next day I printed some photos (well, a lot of photos) and decided to make a Pocket Page album. This was so much fun and got me excited to share some ideas with you today! Whether you are going on a dream vacation or exploring where you live, be sure to take lots of photos to document your adventures!
Today I want to share three of my favorite items for creating my pocket pages. My first one is Pocket Life Cards. These contain cards like “Places” and “Today” and can help focus your vacation journaling. Second would be cut apart pages. These are great for your pocket layouts. You can fussy cut and layer so many different pieces to create a one-of-a kind masterpiece! Third, wood veneers or chipboard pieces. What a great and fun way to add some layering, dimension, and personality to your layout. Take time to record your feelings and thoughts about your photos in that moment so you will always cherish that special time. Let me take you over to BoBunny where Amy has created this adorable pocket page. She will give you some tips in creating this page, along with a list of all the supplies you will need to get started. Thank you, Amy for your fabulous inspiration!
Shaker Over A Colored Image By Nina-Marie Trapani
The sizzling hot shaker trend shows no signs of cooling down anytime soon. That is good news for me because I love this fun technique. Today I want to share a new shaker card inspiration. Yes, let’s add a colored image underneath the fun sequins! I always look for some unique and different ways to create shaker cards.
There is nothing better than receiving a handmade card in the mail! The cards that leave a lasting memory in my mind are always interactive in some way. This is truly one of those cards that will forever be cherished. I highly recommend stopping by the Simon Says Stamp blog where you can see some step-by-step instructions by Nina-Marie on how to create this beautiful card. You will learn so many new techniques for watercoloring along with adding some magical effects to the card using clear sequins. This is one technique you don’t want to miss out on! Have fun creating!
