Hey everyone! Roree here with today’s Make It! Monday post.
Our next show is this week in Marlborough, MA on September 8th-9th. Stamp & Scrapbook Expo will be teaching three “Latest & Greatest” workshops at this show: Card Making, Cool Tools, and Stamping. Today I am going to be creating with a new product from our Latest & Greatest: Cool Tools class: We R Memory Keepers‘ Dial Trimmer.
This is a fun little tool that is very easy to use. It has six different blade options which can be used with a twist of the dial.
With it, I created this tear-strip card:
First, I cut some white cardstock to 4 1/4 x 10 1/2″ and scored it on the 1 1/2″ and 7″ marks.
This left a 1/2″ gap between the ends.
Then, I decorated the inside of the card using items from the Simple Stories‘ Posh collection.
I used the Perforate blade on the Dial Trimmer and added perforated lines to a 1″ wide strip of patterned paper spacing them 1/2″ apart.
I centered and adhered the strip over the gap on the front of the card, trimmed the excess paper, and punched a hole on the right end of the perforated strip.
I decorated the card front with some patterned paper, stickers, washi tape, and baker’s twine.
To open the card, you just tear the strip to reveal the sentiment inside.
Such a fun card to make! I can imagine making so many more fun projects with the fabulous tool.
I hope you enjoyed today’s Make It! Monday project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
Very Clever! I love the idea of pulling the tab to open the card!
What a great idea for a card you want to enclose something special in!!
