Ghols Just Want To Have Fun

Welcome back, my crafty friends!  The weather here in Utah has become chilly, and with days like today I really enjoy staying inside and crafting in my office.  I hope you will be able to spend your day creating something you’ll love.  I just love this time of year!  Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, and since it’s coming soon, I thought it would be fun to share a few festive projects with you today.  I hope you will enjoy each one.  Remember, it isn’t too late to create some of your Halloween projects for the year!

Dream Chaser By Missy Whidden

Isn’t it funny how one scrap of paper can inspire an entire layout?  Are you ready to do some great things with your products?  Hopefully this layout will give you some added inspiration.  Who doesn’t love a little extra color in their world?  Even though there are a lot of beautiful details and dimension to this layout, the photo is still the first thing your eye is drawn to.  I love how Missy went around the edges of the leaves with some white gesso, and then added gold Color Shine and a few gelatos to add color around the edges.  Also notice the metallic gold machine stitching through the center of each leaf.

Dream Chaser

Missy really created a masterpiece.  Most important, remember there are no set rules when crafting, just have fun with it.  I highly recommend stopping by Little Nugget Creations where you will find a video tutorial on how Missy put her layout together.  The possibilities are endless!  Give it a try you will love the results!

Ghouls Just Want To Have Fun By Therese Dahl

Since it’s October, it’s time for some spooky fun!  You still have plenty of time to get your Halloween cards made and sent out.  This is one of those cards that will make you want to pull out some of your fun festive Halloween papers and put your creative mind to work.  This is such a fun card that really portrays the spirit of Halloween.  With Halloween coming up, what a great way to celebrate by sharing your fun Halloween cards with friends and family.

Ghols Just Want To Have Fun

Therese Dahl did such a fabulous job using the Grim Gretchen Set by Kraftin Kimmie Stamps.  The detail on this card just takes it up to another level.  Don’t you just love this ghoul?  She looks so vicious – such wonderful work by Therese!   I am sure you would like to have a list of supplies that Therese used, so click here and I will take you over to the Katten Mia blog.  A big shout out to Therese for being such an inspiration to all of you fellow paper crafters.

Look A Bit Frightened By Anna-Karin

Halloween is such a perfect opportunity to be creative.  With a little help from our crafty friend Anna-Karin, you can make some spooktacular tags to add to your yummy Halloween treats.  It is also a time when a lot of photos will be taken, so let’s get them off your phones and cameras and into an adorable Halloween mini album.  Let’s take this fun tag a step further and create a mini album out of it.  Just add a few more pages behind the tag and you will create a darling mini album.  What a great way to show off your fun and unique costumes, along with a festive celebration of Halloween.  Don’t you just love a project that can be used in several different ways?

Look A Bit Frightened

Anna-Karin used some fun techniques for her background.   She started out with a die cut tag and then added her patterned paper and brushed gesso over it. To give it a distressed look, Anna-Karin used the Slate stencil and Opague Crackle Paste. I am sure that your creative mind is spinning with all the different techniques that Anna-Karin used, so click here and I will be happy to take you over to spend some quality time with Anna-Karin and her fabulous blog Layers Of Ink.  Enjoy craftin,g my friends!

Love that card! Is Therese related to Roald Dahl? If so, they sure share some artful genes!
