Hot Products on the Show Floor: Art Impressions

Hello, my crafty friends, it’s my favorite Tuesday of the month because today I have the opportunity to share some amazing products and booths that you will find at Stamp & Scrapbook Expo. Our show season has ended for 2017 but that doesn’t mean you’re not on our minds. It means we are busy planning another great year of shows to share with you for 2018. One of the booths on our show floor that is always on fire is Art Impressions and it’s an honor to share some of their must-have Christmas items with you today.

I will admit, I have a thing for snowmen, big or small I love them all!  What’s not to love about these whimsical little guys? The Sparkle & Cheer Stamp Set features a waving snowman, sitting snowman with bunny and bird, a kissing snowman couple, bells with holly, and fun sentiments.  If you would like to see how Cheri created these sweet tags, click here and I’ll take you over to AI’s blog for a closer peek.

For all the dog lovers out there you are sure to fall in love with AI’s new Christmas themed stamp set – Santa Paws. This set features puppies along with hilarious dog-themed greetings!  Don’t you just love how Joanna has that cute little dachshund running toward his buddies? To see how she created that interactive element, click here and I’ll take you over to her blog Sitting On Pens & Needles.

The Art Impressions Watercolor snowman truly makes my heart melt; he’s so stinking cute and a mini work of art. I’d like to send out a big hug to Bonnie, Kendra, and their talented design team for sharing the magic through their amazing video tutorials.  You will never be left without inspiration when you have these wonderfully creative ladies sharing their tips and techniques. I highly recommend subscribing to both “Watercolor Wednesday” with Bonnie and Kendra’s YouTube Channel “Watercolor with Kendra”.

Wood Slice Ornaments by Diane Zechman

It makes my heart sing when I have the opportunity to use my stamps on things other than paper. Don’t get me wrong, I love my cards and tags, but creating a holiday treasure out of a piece of wood and a cute stamp really talks to me. I hope you give these a try!  These adorable tags are on my Holiday Crafting Bucket list; wouldn’t they make great gift tags that could be used as an ornament later?  If they were sealed to handle the weather wouldn’t they be great to decorate a wreath or to hang on a small tree? You might want to make several sets because your crafty friends are going to love them!

Let’s not forget the Girlfriends collections, Everyone can relate to their fun and animated personalities. Below is a card that was created by Kristina Werner using the Picture Perfect Stamp Set. You can purchase just the main image or you can purchase it in a set which includes some fun sentiments.  Click here and I will take a trip with you over to Kwernerdesigns so you can check out the video; you’re sure to pick up a tip or two on coloring.  Kristina really has a gift for bringing her stamped images to life. On this sweet card, Kristina colored the Girlfriends with distress markers.  The Girlfriends stamps are sure to bring a smile to your face -don’t we all have a little bit of the “Girlfriend” spirit in us?  😉

How creative of Kendra to watercolor on a sugar cookie using their flower and foliage stamps. How sweet is that?  Click here if you would like to see Kendra’s Watercolor Cookies Tutorial, you’re going to love it, too!

There are over 50 Christmas-themed stamps for you to check out on the Art Impressions site, so click here and I will be happy to escort you over for a visit. While writing this post I discovered a few sets that I, too, need in my life, so let the shopping begin! 😉  Happy Holidays to all!

I really wonder about the safety of using stamps that may have been used with various inks for this process. Should stamps used for food only be used food?

    • Kate Swanson says:

Hi Arlene! If you used our technique with the Marvy Markers, they are water-based and non-toxic. We would suggest fully cleaning your stamps with a liquid dish soap before trying the cookie stamping technique. All of our rubber stamps are food safe through the vulcanizing process we use!
