How to Make a Donut Birthday Card

Hey there Stamp & Scrapbook Expo friends and fans, I’m Becki Adams, here to show you how to make a donut birthday card. Did you enjoy a donut last week for National Donut Day last week? We had a few donuts at our house to celebrate. It was actually National Donut Day that inspired me to make this card. As I was watching all the yummy photos of donuts on Instagram, I remembered that I had an adorable donut stamp set and the coordinating donut die set from The Stamps of Life. How did I overlook playing with these cute supplies? It was time to remedy that situation!

Let’s get started!

I wanted to make these cute die cut donuts for a birthday card. I don’t know about you but I can always use an extra birthday card. Isn’t it nice to have a few birthday cards on hand to go with those last minute birthday gifts! On this card, I used the die set to create the donuts and the stamp set to create the sentiment and inside greeting.

All of the pieces for the donuts are cut from cardstock. These dies worked perfectly and it only took a few minutes to die cut all the pieces for the card. After all the pieces were die cut, I turned on Netflix because I knew it was going to take me a few minutes to adhere all of the sprinkles. The Sticky Piercer tool from We R Memory Keepers came in very handy for adhering the sprinkles to the donut.

After the donuts were done, the rest of the card came together within a matter of minutes. The stamped sentiment was a breeze. As a last minute finishing touch, I added a couple of the left over sprinkles to the inside of the card next to the stamped greeting. I wasn’t about to let any of those sprinkles go to waste!

I am so happy with how this card turned out. It will be great to have a versatile, adorable donut birthday card ready for the next time we need it. LOL, so true! It did take a lot of patience. It looks great but it was a lot of work to glue all those tiny sprinkles on the donuts. Thank you for stopping by the Stamps & Scrapbook Expo blog. ~Becki
