Hi everyone, it’s Pauline and I’m back to share a creative moment with you! With our show season winding down, I always look forward to the prospect of a few months at home. I am loving the Jen Hadfield Heart at Home collection right now because of all of the wonderful home sentiments and images that it includes.
I love the mini cut apart images and I wanted to incorporate them in my card. I’ve found myself trending towards adding interactive elements to my cards, so I wanted to hide them behind another element.
I started with a kraft card base and added a neutral grey tile paper.
I layered the pink gingham paper on top of that, leaving a small border of the grey on the top and bottom. Next, I cut a slightly shorter piece of the floral paper. I created a tab out of the floral paper by scoring the paper 1/4″ from the top, folding down the scored flap and gluing it to the pink gingham piece. I cut the resulting flap into three equal pieces.
I punched holes in the bottom of the three flaps, threading ribbon through the holes and tying three bows. I adhered the mini cut apart sentiments underneath the flap with pop dots.
The final step was adding some letter stickers to the top of the three floral flaps for my main sentiment.

I really like this card! I Think I will use the idea for a card for my 3 yr old nephew. I think he will like lifting the flaps.
