Peanut Butter Frozen Yogurt Pops By Kelly Senyei

If you are a fan of the peanut butter and chocolate flavor combo (that covers just about everyone I know), you will love these.  This is not only a summer treat but you can enjoy these all year long. Peanut Butter Frozen Yogurt Pops are creamy and delicious, and they are packed with healthy goodness, too.  That makes them twice as fun!

Peanut Butter Frozen Yogurt Pops

Tangy yogurt, peanut butter, and three additional ingredients are whisked together into a light and creamy mix that is poured into popsicle molds and frozen until solid.  Waiting for the popsicles to freeze is the hardest part of this recipe! Let’s pop on over to Just A Taste where Kelly has the ingredients and recipe waiting for you.  This will be a fun treat to let your children jump in and help.  I am so excited to have my little grandkids over this weekend to give this a try.  I have to say I am looking forward to tasting one of them as well! 🙂

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I hope you have been inspired and found some great ideas for a fun crafting day!  Be sure to visit the individual blogs I have shared with you to see more details on these fabulous projects.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Hugs to all,

LeAnn

Fall Home Décor

Fall Home Decor by @jbckadams Becki Adams for Scrapbook Expo

Becki-Adams-header

What is your favorite season? Mine is fall! I love the cooler weather, the colors, and most of all, the return of sweater season. I admit that I have a lot of cardigan sweaters in my closet; I love them! There’s nothing quite as cozy and comfortable than a warm sweater. Fall home décor is another weakness of mine.

Fall Home Decor by @jbckadams Becki Adams for Scrapbook Expo

Jillibean Soup has an adorable framed burlap piece in their Mix the Media collection. I used this as the base of my project, and used my Silhouette Cameo and papers from the Carta Bella Fall Blessings collection. This project is so simple. I layered the letters in the title and used a bulky block font to cut “sweater” and a thin scripty font to cut “weather.” By combining the two contrasting fonts/papers, my title pops off the burlap.

Under the title I simply added some leaves, buttons and twine. I gave the leaves a bit of dimension by creasing them gently before adhering them to the burlap with a glue dot.

Thanks for stopping by the Weekly Scrapper blog; I hope you’ve been inspired to create your own fall home décor!

Saturdays-with-LeAnn

Hello again, my crafty friends! I recently returned from a wonderful Scrapbook Expo show in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I always get home feeling so motivated and inspired to start creating! With my enthusiasm today, I hope to share some wonderful projects that will get you inspired to take some time this week for you to create some fun projects.

Clock Face Chipboard Layout created by Kim Price

Today I want to share this exquisite layout featuring a large Blue Fern clock face chipboard piece, which made this layout so striking! Kim did some fussy cutting, painted her chipboard clock face, and added her layering technique to make this layout really pop! Her embellishments with her beautiful papers come together so well.

Clock Face Chipboard Layout

Kim added many beautiful flowers, giving this a lovely shabby chic look. This also gives the layout a fun girly look with some fabulous dimension. I’m inspired, aren’t you? Get out those special photos and begin your layout! Using chipboard is always a great way to get started.

Mom created by Cherry Nelson

When I discovered this beautiful card created by Cherry Nelson, I couldn’t help but think about my own mom. The scissors brought back memories of my mother as she was a hair dresser, along with being a beautiful seamstress. I took some time to reminisce about the fun things she would sew for me, and the haircuts in her beauty shop that I would often get. Oh, how I miss her and those memorable days!

Mom

Since Mother’s Day is just around the corner, what a treasured card to create for your mom, grandmother, or even a special friend who is a mom! Along with this adorable vintage card, you can take a few extra minutes and create a pillow box gift set.

Mom

Cherry used Carta Bella papers, along with a handmade flower made from a vintage hankie, and antique linen fabrics. This will be one of those gifts that will be treasured for years to come.

Ingenious Inking created by Barbara Anders

This beautiful mixed media canvas is a perfect way to experiment with all of the fun mediums, textures, colors, and embellishments. Let your creative mind go to work using all of your supplies, and enjoy all the different textures and patterns.

Ingenious Inking

For this outstanding project, Barbara started by using a 8 x 10 inch linen canvas. The taupe colored canvas gives a great color to start with for the background. Adding some gesso, stamping, and then her fabulous embellishments, Barbara created a masterpiece to display in her home. For her step-by-step instructions CLICK HERE. Remember that mixed media is forgiving; if you don’t like the way you put something on the canvas, just gesso over it and start over. Give this a try, you will have a lot of fun!  Mixed media could easily become your favorite way of crafting!

Vintage Floral Jewelry

Once again, giving mom a homemade gift will warm her heart and she will cherish it forever. This fun vintage floral necklace was made using Epoxy clays and molds. Don’t be intimidated – just give it a try; you are going to have so much fun making these. The molds are very easy to use.

It is that time of the year when fall is in the air and we plan our projects around the beautiful new products.  Today we have Madison Parker here to show us a sneak peek of the latest releases from Echo Park and Carta Bella.  Along with their beautiful paper lines (Arsenic & Lace, Creative Agenda, A Perfect Autumn, Christmas Time), he presents some cool new dies and also coordinating sets of dies and stamps. How fun is it to have the stamps match the die cuts! They really make it easy to coordinate your project perfectly.

Echo Park and Carta Bella really have done all the work for us to make our creative projects so wonderful.

Madison Parker also walks us through some of the other new collection releases from Echo Park and Carta Bella.  We have from Carta Bella the fun “Spooky Collection” just in time to get ready for your Halloween projects.  Also featured is “Moments & Memories,” a wonderful collection line perfect for those special family photos. “Fine & Dandy” from Echo Park is a collection with some really fun and bright colors, sure to make you smile and also perfect to capture any of your memories.

With these new fun collections you are sure to choose just the right one for your next scrapbooking projects.

It is that time of year when we start to think about winter (Bundled Up), Christmas (Christmas Cheer), and the holiday season (Home for the Holidays). This is the best time of the year to get your new paper collections!  Here we have Madison Parker showing the fun new releases from Echo Park and Carta Bella. Featured are Home for the Holidays, a beautifully traditional Christmas line with metallic gold and silver that really add glamour to the line, along with Christmas Cheer, which is fun and bright with a touch of whimsy. Bundled Up is the most perfect collection to show off your fun wintertime activities and also to help you create projects for those winter months.

Don’t wait too long to get in the mood, because before you know it the holidays will be here!

Be sure to visit the Echo Park and Carta Bella websites to see more of their outstanding products.

Nautical Coaster Set

Nautical collections are one of my favorite themes to design with, so when I discovered this adorable coaster gift set on the Carta Bella website I knew I had to share it with our readers. I’d like to send out a big thank you to Brigit Mann, one of the very talented members on the Carta Bella design team, for sharing her fun project with us today.

Nautical Coaster Set

For the coasters, Brigit used adhesive backed cork and attached a piece of felt. She then ran them through a manual die cut machine using a 3 3/5 circle die. If the die that you are using is having a hard time cutting through both pieces, you can run them through separately and then glue them together. The nautical design was stamped on the coasters using the Carta Bella Ahoy There collection with matching stamps and dies.

The box is about 4X4X1 and 6 coasters will fit nicely. Brigit used a die to create the box, but you could also use a score board and create your own. I love how she cut out a circle on the front and lined the inside of the box with clear acetate so that the coasters peek out.

All that’s left is to decorate the outside of your gift box. Brigit used ribbon, twine, buttons, and some elements stickers.  You can use whatever is in your stash.  Wouldn’t these cute coasters make a nice hostess gift for your end-of-summer BBQ?

Supplies Used:

Ahoy There Patterned Paper Good Times

Ahoy There Patterned Paper My Anchor

Ahoy There Element Stickers

CB Designer Dies Sea, Ship, Anchor Die

CB Designer Stamps Whale Of A Tale

Die cut box LW Double Box

Thin Cork sheets

Felt

Circle Die

Clear Acetate

I hope you give this quick and easy project a try and have fun designing your own coasters!

Thanks for the visit and I hope you have a very creative day.
