Photo Shoot

I discovered this adorable layout on The Scalloped Edge Blog. I highly recommend paying  Jackie a visit. You will truly be inspired.  It all begins with a single sketch…

The Sketch

This is the whole page in its entirety.  Jackie did leave out the element from the sketch for the upper right corner so she didn’t cover any of her precious photo.  The 3×4 pictures in the center were two 4×6 photos that she just  cut in half to fit in the spaces.  The two outer pics were actually one picture with both girls peeking out from either side of the tree. How perfect did that work out.

This is the upper left pocket.  Jackie used the High Rise Uppercase and High Rise Lowercase Die-namics for the words.  The circle/sentiment was made with Behind the Camera Die-namics and Stamp set.  The film strip was made with the Mini Film Strip Die-namics.  The two notched flags were made with the Fishtail Flags STAX and the Fishtail Flags Layers STAX.  The patterned paper is Crate Paper On Trend.

This is what scrapbooking is all about, Capturing The Moments. This layout truly is all about the beautiful photos.  The few embellishments were a perfect complement to the photos and not overpowering to them.

This is the center picture.  It was a 4×6 Jackie cut it in half to make two 3×4’s. The word Friend was cut using the High Rise Upper and Lower alphabet.  Jackie than added three letters to each picture and finished each with an arrow from Lead the Way Die-namics.

And finally the camera from Behind the Camera Stamp set and Die-namics and some more of the Mini Film Strip Die-namics.

Camera

I just love the saying stamped on the camera lens, “Capture this moment,  it will never be repeated”..

My hope is to inspire you to be fearless when it comes to your creativity, to try new things and most important to have fun.

Thanks for stopping by, have a very creative day!
