Witches Hat

Witch hats always seem to complete the Halloween decorations.  Need a spooky witch hat to add to your decorations?  If so you will want to make one of these amazing hats just using your scrapbook paper and a few embellishments.  This charming hat was created by Kristin Courtney at Paper Creations.  Be sure and check out her blog for more wonderful craft ideas.

Witches Hat

The top part of the hat is just one piece of 12 x 12 black cardstock paper, and trimmed just a bit at the bottom.  Glue the Spiderweb paper over the black cardstock.  Twist the paper until you get the shape you want for the point of the hat.

The flower, bats and headstone came from SVG Cuts using the Elmhurst Hollow SVG Kit.  The stamped sentiment and spider web came from SVG Tools “The Witching Hour & Trick or Treat”.

Create the headstone by using your favorite embossing folder.  Stamp the Happy Halloween, Spiderweb, and Spider first. Distress the edges with a lot of black ink.  Out of your stash use ribbon or black material making a long strip.  Tie around the base of the Hat.  Add white ribbon and distress with black ink to make it look old.

Add some green glitter to the bats.  Hopefully this will give you some inspiration to dig deep into your stash of supplies and come up with some creative ideas on how to decorate and personalize your Halloween Witches Hat.

Thanks for visiting.  Hope you have a very fun day of crafting!
