Welcome back to Freebie Friday! I hope you all had a fabulous week. It is March break this week so the house has been full of kids and noise and fun. Vacations are nice, but sometimes staycations are just what we need!
This week, we are lucky to have our friends from Paper Smooches back on the blog. Paper Smooches is such a fun brand! Owner and designer Kim Hughes puts a lot of herself in the stamps and dies. Her handwriting lives on, her humour is shared with all and her drawings … wow … her drawings are fun and humorous and serious and beautiful and special. The Paper Smooches brand has something for everyone. Whether you need a card to cheer up a friend, to make your teenager laugh, or to remind someone you are thinking of them, Paper Smooches has an image and a sentiment for your card.
This card by Laurie Schmidlin features the Birthday Buddies stamp set. This set includes a chick, a gopher, a dog, a fish, and even a worm. With a little imagination, you can create a beaver, a groundhog, or a mole. You can also get matching Buddies dies for these fun animals.
The Market Fresh stamp set that Laura Bassen used on this card cracks me up. I can totally see people saying, “I Love You More Than Coupons!” How totally silly is that! Silly and fun for sure.
Kalyn Kepner used the Slang Gang stamp set on this card. This set makes me think of all the things my kids and their friends say and text to each other. Kim really summed up a generation’s worth of slang with this set! My personal favourite is the ‘Adorbs’ sentiment.

Oh my. I LOVE PAPER SMOOCHES. I make cards to give as encouragement and to give as gifts. ( I make cards for my 85 yr old mother so she has gifts to give to her friends.) I am also a scrapbooker. I am mostly a card maker at this point. I got into the papercraft hobby when I was pregnant, intending to scrapbook my babies. But then I found the blank 12×12 pages to be extremely intimidating! So I went with a smaller format, cards, and now so many people ask me to make cards for them that I hardly have any time to scrapbook!! But I love making cards too, so the creative outlet is still there.
