Sundays With Lorraine

Sundays-with-Lorraine

Hello there, my artsy friends and thanks for stopping by today! I hope you just came out of a wonderful week and are ready to enjoy a carefree and creative weekend. And I hope you moms are having a fabulous Mother’s Day! Here’s one of my favorite quotes about being a mom:

Mother's Day Quote

This Is So You by Missy Whidden

This is one of those fun to design layouts. Just dive into your stash of treasures and start matching embellishments, die cuts, scraps of this and that, washi tape, etc. And don’t forget the sewing machine! This is a layout that allows you to use the whole box of crayons, so have fun with it. What a great way to use up some of the washi tape that we all love to collect. 😉

This Is So You By Missy

I love how Missy used a rainbow of colors in the background; it really makes the adorable black and white photo just pop off the page. By adding the black and white tapes at the bottom of the layout it really brings it all together perfectly. I hope you’ve been inspired to break out your decorative tapes, take a walk through your ever growing stash, and have fun! Remember, it’s ok to color outside the lines; it’s your art. Click here and I will take you over to the My Mind’s Eye blog where you can see all the fun supplies that Missy used on this layout. She even broke out the Gelatos -you’re gonna love it. Happy scrappin’!

Life Can Be Tough By Lucy Abrams

At first glance it was the sentiment that caught my eye; I’m a glass half full kinda girl and I enjoy sending out uplifting cards of encouragement. After taking a closer look I noticed the fun techniques that Lucy used and I knew I had to share.

The result is a nice flat card perfect for sending snail mail. 😉 The best part is that you still have add dimension and visual interest from the embossing paste, stitching, and Glossy Accents. Click here and I will take you over to Lucy’s Blog where she shares step-by-step instructions.

Happy Birthday To You by Melody Rupple

It’s time to breakout your stencils and your favorite inks and have some fun. I love the variegated look Melody achieved by using the Herringbone Brick Stencil by My Favorite Things and blending six different Premium Dye Inks. So pretty!

There is something to be said about taking a trip into your craft room and coming out with an adorable home décor piece. It really makes my heart sing when I discover that I already have everything needed in my stash. Ya gotta love it!
