Vintage Christmas Card Motifs

Today I’d love to share with you a couple of cards made with Papertrey Ink’s All Through the House kit with these adorable vintage scenes. These cards couldn’t be much easier… just a few die cuts, adhering them into place, and adding a bit of fine glitter to make them magical and sparkly!

First, I used the frame die in the kit to trim out this pre-printed paper. I also used the snowman die to cut out the snowman. I love adding a tiny bit of dimension, so I wanted to pop up the little snowman on the front of my card, even though he’s a little bit bigger than the one pre-printed on the card. There are so many different fun little scenes to cut out in this kit.

Next, I trimmed a strip of the red candy cane striped paper to slide through the slits in the frame. I used Glossy Accents to add some glue to the snowy portions and snowman and poured on a bit of fine glitter for the snow.

It might be difficult to see in the photos, but I really love the sparkle that the fine glitter gives to the card!

Here is another card made with this kit. I used the same techniques here by die cutting the frame from the paper and cutting a strip of red striped paper to slide through the slits.

Then I simply added a die cut piece of greenery over the top, by the bird, and some fine glitter! Very simple and quick to make!
