Saturdays-with-LeAnn

Good morning friends and crafters, and a very happy Saturday to you all!  Today I hope you will enjoy some projects that I found to be inspiring to me, and I hope they will be to you as well.  Sit back, relax, and enjoy!

Joy And Happiness By Dana Tatar

Today I would like to share this beautiful layout created by the very talented Dana Tatar, who always inspires me with her talent.  The soft richness of this gorgeous layout is to die for.  When creating layouts, being able to add lots of layers isn’t always as easy as it seems.  As you can see on this stunning layout, Dana has great talent when it comes to layering.  When looking at a scrapbook layout you first want to be drawn to the photos, then take in all the beautiful surroundings of embellishments and details.  Dana always has just the right amount to complement her photo and not overshadow it.

Joy And Happiness

When you are using black and white photos, you can add in some different colors of your choice. This will allow your photos to pop on your layout.  For a shabby chic look, you can add in very neutral colors that will also soften your photos.  This is definitely one of those layouts that has perfectly placed embellishments and fine details.  This beautiful layout really jumped out at me and I knew I just had to share it with you!

Thanks By Julia Stainton

I love how stamps give us endless possibilities for being creative1  Julia created this darling card with the focal image from stamping and die-cutting Flashy Florals.  If you are looking for a background stamp that adds texture, goes with anything, and doesn’t take away from your design, you will want to purchase the Scattered Surface Background stamp.  These fun items were used to create this soft and beautiful card.

Thanks

To finish off the design, Julia added lots of texture in the form of paint splatter, and flicked the glitter paint over the surface.  I highly recommend stopping by Belle Papier to see just how easily this sweet card came together.  I want to say a big thank you to Julia for being such an inspiration to all of us paper crafters.  This is certainly one of those cards you could make multiples of; just leave off the sentiments until you know what the occasion is.  This way you will be ready for anything!

Textured Water Color Journal By Anna Karin

I am a crazy fan of anything done with watercoloring techniques.  There are so many different wate coloring mediums to choose from that you will never go wrong in trying out several types.  On this beautiful card, Anna used the Winsor Newton Cotman Watercolors along with Tim Holtz rubber stamps sets titled Cracks & Specks, Typography, Urban Chic, and Mini Ornates. This created different techniques to get some interesting textures. What isn’t there to love, right?  This is one of those beautiful journals that would be so nice to set out and let people admire your talent!

Textured Water Color

It is time to break out those stamps, distress inks, spray mists, and get ready to create a fun journal.  There is so much more to this beautiful project than meets the eye.  Click here and I will take you over to spend some time with Anna as she shares just how easily this work of art will come together.  You will be so inspired by her techniques, so I know you won’t want to miss out on this one!

Jam Jar Gift Set By Sonia Thomason

It is just about time for canning season.  With that said, when I stumbled onto this cute Jam Jar Gift Set I knew I had to make this.  There is nothing quite like a homemade gift!  What a perfect way to have different labels on each jar, as well as a personalized tag.  I’m thinking ahead – can you imagine this for a Christmas gift?  (Boy that was hard to say!)  This could even be fun to make up some toppings for ice-cream. Yummy!

Jam Jar Gift Set

There are so many possibilities for creating your own fun gift set.  Decorate a wooden box that will fit four jars.  Add a topper and label using the Bon Appetit collection from Kaiser Kraft.  So cute and so easy!  Thank you to Sonia Thomason for sharing this fun project.

Coconut Pudding Trifle by Glory Albin

I was searching for a dessert with coconut to make for my husband since coconut is his favorite, and I stumbled upon this recipe.  Let me tell you – this was so yummy!  If you are a coconut lover this is one you must make.  Click here and I will take you over to Glorious Treats to copy your recipe.  You will love this and so will the ones you serve it to.

Coconut Pudding Trifle

Sweet, cool, creamy, crunchy is what this delicious Coconut Pudding Trifle is.  This fabulous recipe starts out with homemade coconut pudding, then is layered with fresh whipped cream and a macadamia nut crumble.  It doesn’t get better than this!  For a fun summer treat serve it in mason jars.  This is something you can even pack in the ice chest and bring along for a picnic or BBQ.

Well, my friends, I hope this has been a fun-filled Saturday for you and you enjoy the rest of your weekend.  As always, thank you for stopping by Weekly Scrapper and sharing a part of your day with me  I will see you back next Saturday.  Have a fantastic week ahead!
