Welcome back on this beautiful Saturday! I don’t know about you but I am having the hardest time believing that it is already August! Time flies by so fast, and because of that… we really need to enjoy some time for ourselves. I hope today’s inspirations will lead you right into your craft room and that you take some precious time just for you. I hope you have a fabulous Saturday!
American Beauty By Deborah Wagner
Now that July is over, it’s time to grab your fun photos and get those special memories onto scrapbook layouts. Most of us probably picked up some wonderful Americana red, white, and blue products, so now is the time to get started. Americana is a casual style that can be patriotic, primitive, or reminiscent of a country farmhouse, and is usually a mix of the three.
This precious layout was created by Deborah Wagner. She used digital ingredients along with some embellishments from her stash of products on hand. When people browse through your scrapbook pages and pause with admiration and delight, you know you have created something special. This fabulous layout is definitely an eye catcher and I’d like to thank Deborah for sharing it with us!
Fantastic Foiling By Stephanie Klauck
Have you had a chance to use Deco Foils yet? With Deco Foils being so popular these days, I thought you would be inspired by this fun card designed by Stephanie Klauck. Today’s card is a fun and simple technique that you can do with Deco Foils. You will love the unexpected look a bit of foil will add to your card, and it is so easy to do! Stephanie started with a New York Skyline die and cut it out on Deco Foil toner paper and then ran it through her embossing machine with teal foil. This gives the design a great shine.
This foiling technique is so simple and really adds a great touch to cards. Deco Foils help you create dimensional art on fabric, paper, wood, and other porous surfaces. I know once you have tried this you are going to be addicted to foiling! If you haven’t played with Deco Foil, I challenge you to give it a try. You will love the end result! Thanks Very Much By Cindy Lawrence
There is nothing like something cold and refreshing to drink in the summer, and this is the perfect card to create for hot summer days. I love the cool colors and the green tones. Wouldn’t you love to be the one who receives this darling card?
Handmade cards are such a treasure to receive. Cindy really has a gift for bringing her images to life with her amazing coloring skills. Cindy uses a really fun summertime stamp set called Tea In The Garden. The inside of her card is adorable so I just have to share that with you, too.
Cindy stamped the tea cup onto X-Press It Blending Card and used her Copic Markers to color it. It dressed the inside of the card and still allowed space to write a sweet note. For more of Cindy’s beautiful creations, be sure to visit her blog The Creative Closet. It is full of inspiration!

Banoffee Pie Dessert By Nila
You are probably asking “What is a Banoffee Pie?” This is a British invention and consists of bananas, dulce de leche, lots of whipped cream, and plain biscuits. Adding cookies to this dessert instead of the biscuit gives it a crunchy, sweeter taste. These are absolutely delicious!
This recipe can be made into a pie, or as an individual serving in a small glass. You can make these in a breeze as they come together very quickly. Let me give you one tip.. be sure not to eat this dessert layer by layer. Instead, try to get your spoon all the way to the bottom of the glass, getting as much of the good stuff at the same time. Serve this at your next party and I guarantee it will make a big hit with your guests!
I hope you have been filled today with lots of great ideas. Thank you for spending a part of your Saturday with me. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I will see you back again next Saturday!

I am a new fan of Power Poppy stamps and I have the one above, called Tea in the Garden. I really like what Cindy did with her card. Fresh, lovely and I am going to copy it!
