Sundays With Lorraine

Sundays-with-Lorraine

Hello, my crafty friends and welcome back to Weekly Scrapper. I’m honored to have the opportunity to share the following projects with you today, so sit back, relax, and enjoy – it’s time to enjoy a little creative therapy!

Swim With Me Layout By Nicole

It’s time to break out your craft knife and/or scissors! My challenge to you is to hand cut the design elements to be used on your next scrapbook layout. No worries, you’re going to love the end result. 😉 This could mean cutting lettering for your title, stamping and cutting out the design, or detail cutting images from one of your favorite patterned papers, just to name a few ideas. So step away from the stickers, rub ons, and other pre-made embellishments – it’s time to get creative the old fashioned way, before all the fancy premade embellishments.

CUT YOUR SCRAPBOOK EMBELLISHMENTS BY HAND

Now that those creative juices are flowing, click here and I will lead the way over to Shimelle’s Blog  so you can see how the challenge began and how she stepped up to the plate and created this adorable layout. Cutting out your own embellishments not only is a real cost saver but it also allows you to easily customize your projects to exactly what you like while using what you already have on hand. Happy scrapping, my friends!

Don’t Be A Scaredy Cat By Lols

What’s not to love about this adorable birthday card? Lols used one of my favorite Art Impressions stamp and die sets titled Scaredy. I use it quite a bit because many of my friends are a bit leery about admitting another year has come and gone. So why not make light of turning *#@!% and send a smile through the mail? If you have a sense of humor, you need to check out the Art Impressions website. Between the Girlfriends, the spinners, and a category titled For A Laugh. You will be laughing until you cry!

Art Impressions Spinner dies are designed to help you create a fabulous spinner card in no time! They’re made to coordinate perfectly with the Scaredy Spinner stamp set. No fussy cutting required! Click here and I will be happy to take you over to the Lorraine’s Loft Blog so you can follow along as she shares how easily this sweet card came together. Keep up the great job you’re doing by spreading those smiles one handmade card at a time!

Flowers To Brighten Your Day By Debby

This card is sure to brighten anyone’s day! The beautiful water colored florals were created using a heat embossed technique and several of the stamps from the Simon Says Handwritten Floral Greetings, then colored with Prima’s Colored Pencils. I fell in love with the handwritten sentiments and the larger floral stamps are great for coloring.

Hoisin Chicken and Bok Choy Kebabs

This recipe not only looks delicious and tastes amazing, but it can be on the table in about half an hour.  Yes, I really said 30 minutes! It doesn’t get much easier than this.

Hoisin Chicken and Bok Choy Kebabs

As promised – dinner on the table in under an hour; there’s no need to stay in the hot kitchen any longer than you have to. Now you’re free to get back to your craft room where you belong! ? All you have to do is click here and I will escort you over to the Food Network Blog so you can print out the recipe. I forgot to mention that this recipe is cooked on the BBQ so that means you don’t have to heat up the kitchen at all when it’s 100 degrees outside. Life is good!
