Hi, my crafty friends! Thank you for dropping by today. I feel honored today to have the opportunity to share the following projects with you. I hope you will enjoy a little creative time here on Weekly Scrapper. Sit back, relax, and enjoy!
Do you have memories of winter that you want to capture in your scrapbook? Today I want to share this beautiful Winter Wishes layout created by Emilia Van Den Heuvel. What really caught my eye was the technique using Pentart glass paint. You can see how Emilia used this amazing technique on her reindeer. Sum up several cold-weather memories on one layout using a stickable stencil and glitter paste to create the dimensional layer on your background paper. Don’t you just love these snowflakes?
Complete the design with several snowflakes and add some beautiful embellishments to the centers. Head outdoors with your children or grandchildren and take some snap shots of them enjoying the snow. This will be one of those layouts you will cherish forever. Let me take you on over to Few Favourite Things where you will see how Emilia put this layout together and her list of supplies. I also want to share with you a tip how to get properly exposed snow photos. Use the Winter or Snow setting on a point-and shoot camera, or set a custom white balance on a digital SLR. You will be surprised the difference this will make. Have fun creating your winter layouts!
Today’s card is a perfect card to let friends know that they are special to you. I love how Amy incorporated some of today’s trends by watercoloring, ink blending, and background stamping. This card really pulls out the charm of the folk art image. I love how Amy has used her focal image to cover a background using the Winter Hills Stamp Set by Papertrey Ink.
The Hills series are such classic sets that can be used for so many occasions. Amy created this card with some beautiful expressions, and a perfect rustic warmth using her kraft cardstock. Remember to just have fun with your creations and see what you come up with. Click here and I will take you over to Pickled Paper Designs and Amy will show you another card using the same stamp set. I know you will have fun creating your own cards.
Here in Utah today the snow is falling fast and furious, so with that said this is the perfect home wood decor set to have in my home. It is truly a Winter Wonderland outside and I can’t wait to create a set of these for my own decor. These adorable snowmen will look cute sitting almost anywhere in your home; and this sign is absolutely darling! They are perfect to use all winter long.
Julie used the Winter Wonderland collection from Simple Stories. Don’t you just love the cool color palette of this collection? This winter wood decor will add a little warmth to your home this winter season. Good news… you can order this in a kit so you don’t have to wander all over looking for the right products. Click here and I will escort you over to Paisley & Polka Dots, where you can purchase your kit. I can’t wait to get started on mine, how about you?
Are you tired of making plain old cookies? If you like cinnamon rolls and sugar cookies, then these should go on your high priority list to make. These are absolutely delicious, especially with the cream cheese frosting! You will love them so much it will be hard to give any away. 🙂
I know you are dying to get this recipe so let me take you on over to Seeded At The Table where you can print out the recipe for these delicious bars! They will be a perfect for any party or just for your family! Enjoy!
Thank you my friends for stopping by and I look forward to spending some more quality time with you next weekend. Have a great week and I’ll see you back again soon!
