Find Beauty In Each Day

Hi, my crafty friends!  Thank you for dropping by today.  I feel honored today to have the opportunity to share the following projects with you.  I hope you will enjoy a little creative time here on Weekly Scrapper.  Sit back, relax, and enjoy!

Winter Wishes By Emilia Van Den Heuvel

Do you have memories of winter that you want to capture in your scrapbook?  Today I want to share this beautiful Winter Wishes layout created by Emilia Van Den Heuvel.  What really caught my eye was the technique using Pentart glass paint.  You can see how Emilia used this amazing technique on her reindeer.  Sum up several cold-weather memories on one layout using a stickable stencil and glitter paste to create the dimensional layer on your background paper.  Don’t you just love these snowflakes?

Winter Wishes

Complete the design with several snowflakes and add some beautiful embellishments to the centers.  Head outdoors with your children or grandchildren and take some snap shots of them enjoying the snow.  This will be one of those layouts you will cherish forever.  Let me take you on over to Few Favourite Things where you will see how Emilia put this layout together and her list of supplies.  I also want to share with you a tip how to get properly exposed snow photos.  Use the Winter or Snow setting on a point-and shoot camera, or set a custom white balance on a digital SLR.  You will be surprised the difference this will make.  Have fun creating your winter layouts!

Find Beauty In Each Day By Amy Sheffer

Today’s card is a perfect card to let friends know that they are special to you.  I love how Amy incorporated some of today’s trends by watercoloring, ink blending, and background stamping.  This card really pulls out the charm of the folk art image.  I love how Amy has used her focal image to cover a background using the Winter Hills Stamp Set by Papertrey Ink.

The Hills series are such classic sets that can be used for so many occasions.  Amy created this card with some beautiful expressions, and a perfect rustic warmth using her kraft cardstock. Remember to just have fun with your creations and see what you come up with.  Click here and I will take you over to Pickled Paper Designs and Amy will show you another card using the same stamp set.  I know you will have fun creating your own cards.
