Hello Tiny Toes By Melinda Spinks

Do you remember the feelings you had the first time you saw your precious baby?  This is one of those scrapbook pages that will remind you of those precious moments with your newborn.  This is when journaling becomes so important.  Take some time and express your feelings of that day.  You can even write a sweet letter to your child expressing your feelings as well.  We all need inspiration and encouragement to help us capture the first years of our baby’s life so we can remember those “tiny toes” forever!

Hello Tiny Toes

From the baby’s birth to those first exciting days at home, every memorable moment makes for a perfect scrapbook layout.  Melinda Spinks, a fabulous designer for Doodlebug Designs. did such a beautiful job creating this darling layout.  I love how she preserved the memory of her son’s tiny little toes, along with the journaling that preserves the story of it all.  Melinda added stitching as an outstanding embellishing idea and the perfect personal touch.  Click here and I will take you over so you can see more on how she created this adorable layout.  You will want to jump right in and create a baby layout of your own.

Thank You For Your Kindness By Keia Shipp-Smith

Do you have Inktense water soluble pencils that are still sitting in the original box?  It is a great time to pull them out and use them. If you do not have them but love this card, you can paint with the watercolor pencils or paint you have.  Don’t be afraid to jump in and give this technique a try.  Once you’ve tried it, it’s all over because it’s all you will want to do!

Thank You For Your Kindess

The beauty of using watercolor pencils is that they leave an intense, translucent, ink-like effect.  Keia used a fine tip watercolor brush to soften the colors.  She then added dimension to her card by adding three die cut butterlies, a die cut border, and a sentiment to complete her card.  Using a simple design can become so elegant.  Let me take you on over to Confessions Of A Paperholic where you will be able to see all of the supplies you will need, along with how Keia created this beautiful card.

Transfer Photos To Wood

Are you wanting some different and creative decor for your home?  Transferring a photo to wood can become one of your favorite crafting techniques!  Transferring photos to wood is so much fun and surprisingly easy to do.  Once you give this a try, I think you will find yourself looking for more ways to apply this fun technique!  Creating wonderful artwork and making home decor is something anyone can do with the right inspiration and enough determination to see the project through.

Transfer Photos To Wood

With just a few easy steps and your treasured photos, a piece of wood will begin a beautiful home decor piece that will brighten up your home.  Let me take you on over to Pretty Designs where you will find step-by-step instructions on how to create your one-of-a-kind decor.  You will be able to hang these on your walls, set them on end tables, or create beautiful ornaments for your Christmas tree.  Let your imagination run wild and see what you come up with!
