Sundays With Lorraine

Elizabeth Crafts card

Hello my crafty friends, and welcome back to Weekly Scrapper! Today’s post is the 3rd in a series of four where I am sharing a peek of what you will be making in the Creativity Center at the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo in 2017.  As you can see I have many top-notch projects to share with you so be sure to stop by, say hello, and we’ll create something beautiful together..

A To Z Scrapbooking & Quick Quotes

A To Z Scrapbooking and Quick Quotes have been long time sponsors of the Creativity Center and many of you have come to love their easy-to-assemble layouts. Quick Quotes kits really take all the guesswork out of designing the perfect layout. We’ll be playing with the amazing Powderpuff Chalk Inks which are perfect for distressing your paper and embellishments…

You’ll also be using Simple Stories Photo Flips on your layout.  I love using these on a layout; they’re a great way to add some hidden journaling or an extra photo without overpowering your layout. I look forward to seeing you at the show & be sure to stop by the A To Z Scrapbooking booth to see what other new treasure that they will be sharing this year.

Heartfelt Creations

Heartfelt Creations truly is art from the heart. One of the many things that Heartfelt Creation is known for is their dimensional florals. In the Creativity Center, we’ll be using one of their must-have floral dies along with their magnetic stylus and I’ll be demonstrating just how easy it is to transform your dies into a dimensional work of art.

I will warn you, once you’ve mastered this technique, there is no turning back.  You will be roaming the house looking for something to put a flower on!  I’ve added dimensional florals to scrapbook layouts, cards, and tags, plus they are perfect to incorporate into your gift wrapping just to name a few ways I use them. Being the creative person that you are I’m sure you can think of dozens of ways to use your beautiful florals.

Elizabeth Crafts

Who doesn’t need a little sparkle in their lives, right? Well, you’ll be happy to know on this gorgeous card we’ll be playing with Elizabeth Crafts Silk Microfine Glitter, one of her newly released dies “Lovebirds,” and a few other must-have supplies that for now, I will keep a surprise.

You’re going to be blown away when you discover just how detailed you can be with these amazing glitters, and combined with their double sided tapes, it is absolute magic!  I had the privilege of sharing a make & take with you last season (remember what we did with the lace, glitter, and tape?) and it was a huge hit. I also have many tips that Els herself has shared with me and I can’t wait to pay it forward by sharing them with you. I’ll meet you at the Creativity Center and I’ll have your souvenir button and some chocolate waiting for you. 😉

Honey Chilli Garlic Tiger Prawns

This is one of those shut the front door, ready in 10 minutes recipes. Yes, I did say 10 minutes from start to finish. With a little help from Richa, hostess of the amazing food blog My Food Story, you too can have a delicious meal on the table in no time.

Not only are these tiger prawns oh-so-tasty but they only need a sprinkle of this and a spoonful of that and before you know it, dinner is on the table. What I like to add is some lo mien or rice and you’re good to go. If you happen to have a Costco in the area, they have these yummy vegetable stir fried noodles and they only take three minutes in the microwave and they’re perfect. If you’re ready to kick things up a notch in the kitchen, just click here and I will lead the way over to My Food Story so you can jot down the recipe and while you’re in the neighborhood be sure to check out Richa’s other quick and easy recipe

Thanks for the visit and allowing me to share a little preview of what we’ll be creating together at Stamp & Scrapbook Expo. We currently have 19 shows scheduled for this season, so it’s time to start planning that special weekend with your creative peeps. I’ll meet you at the Creativity Center. Fun times and memories await us all!

Have a wonderful week and I’ll see you next Sunday with my final post on the Creativity Center.
