Latest & Greatest: Card Making with Freckled Fawn

Hey everyone! It’s Roree filling in for Becki this week, and I have some more fun products from the Latest & Greatest workshops to share with you.

Our next show is going on now in Duluth, GA. Stamp & Scrapbook Expo will be teaching four “Latest & Greatest workshops at this show: Card Making, Cool Tools, Scrapbooking, and Stamping. Today I am going to be creating with a new product from our Latest & Greatest: Card Making class: Freckled Fawn embellishment sampler.

If you are not already familiar with Freckled Fawn, I am going to help you out. Freckled Fawn creates some amazing products perfect for cards, layouts, planners, and more! They carry a variety of embellishments, washi tape, pouches & papers, traveler’s notebooks & accessories, and wood cards.

For our workshop, they put together a sampler kit with a great selection of products and packaged it all in an adorable little pouch.

With these products, I created this card:

To create the background on my card, I added the washi tape sticker strips to a white cardstock panel.

I layered a few of the felt flowers in the kit with enamel dots and clustered them along with a washi sticker sentiment and a baker’s twine bow towards the upper right corner of the card.

Tip: I added the “love you more” circle washi sticker to white cardstock and trimmed off the excess before adding it to my card. Because washi tape tends to be sheer, adding it to white cardstock makes the design stand out and it gives you a sturdy base so you can pop the it up off the page for added dimension.

I finished by adding the panel on top of black patterned paper to create a frame. The colors on the tape “pop” against the black and white papers.

This Latest & Greatest: Card Making workshop featuring the Freckled Fawn embellishment sampler will also be taught at our upcoming shows in Santa Clara, Schaumburg, and Edison. We would love to see you in class at one of these shows!

I hope you enjoyed today’s Inspiration Station post. Thanks so much for stopping by!

This is such a beautiful card. I’m sad that I couldn’t make it to the Expo in Duluth GA. I would’ve loved to learn how to make this beautiful card.
