Saturdays With LeAnn

Hello, my crafty friends, and welcome back to another wonderful and inspirational day here on the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo blog.  Time sure does fly by and it is hard to believe we are approaching fall already.  I hope you will take the time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the Saturday inspiration that is coming your way.  I believe these projects will give you tons of creative motivation!

Watercolor Layout By Zinia Redo

This layout from Zinia warms my heart!  I instantly fell in love with these gorgeous watercolored flowers!  This beautiful layout can be made into a fall layout just by using some fall colors.  It is such a great way to personalize your background while getting the exact look you are going for.  I just love this layout and design!  The foliage looks so amazing and Zinia captured a fun photo to add to her layout.  Stunning!

Zinia used the Altenew Floral Art stamp set to give it an artsy and abstract look.  She added some messy coloring using the Watercolor 36 Pan Set.  Let’s pop on over to the Altenew Stamp blog where you will see all the products and steps that Zinia used in creating this exquisite layout.  Take some time while you are visiting the blog to see many more wonderful creations.  You will certainly leave feeling very inspired!

One Stamp Five Ways By Suzy Plantamura

Suzy has five cards to share with you that show the images in the set used in different ways.  How creative and fun it is to take one stamp and make it into five cards that don’t look anything alike.  You sure can get your bang out of your buck on this fun stamp set Earth Has Music by Simon Says Stamps.  Break out those Faber Castell colored pencils and even your gelatos to use to color these fun feathers and flowers.

One Stamp Five Ways

Creating beautiful things is our creative therapy, so always find time for the things that make you the happiest.  Sending one of these beautiful cards in the mail to a very special person will certainly make them happy as well.  Can you just imagine the smile on their face as they open up the envelope?  Take some time this week and do a little coloring, especially now that summer is over and the kids are back in school.  Let me escort you on over to the Simon Says Stamp blog where you will find the steps along with all of Suzy’s tips you will need to create these beautiful cards yourself.

Faux Leather Book By Valerie Andrieux

Have you ever had the opportunity to play with Art Anthology products?  If not, I highly recommend you dive in and use their amazing products.  Today Valerie is sharing an altered wooden box in the shape of a book to make it look like a leather covered book.  The technique she used to create this leather look is to imprint a rubber stamp into Mud Texture paste.  Her technique is so amazing.

Faux Leather Book

Valerie used Teal Velvet and Copper Metallic metal embellishments from the Patina Texture set to give it an antique look.  If you are a visual person like me, you will definitely want to check out Valerie’s Faux Wood Book video; she has lots of creative techniques she will share with you.  This is one project you will have so much fun creating, and oh, the compliments you will get as this sits out as decor in your home.

Oreo Poke Cake By Becky Hardin

It’s time to treat yourself with an amazing Oreo Poke Cake!  This cake features heavenly cream with wonderful crushed cookies and whipped topping.  Good luck in finding someone who doesn’t absolutely love this yummy dessert.  You will find no better cookies and cream pudding cake than this one, so get to it and dazzle your friends and family with this scrumptious cake.
