Well, another week has flown by. Where did July go? It is so crazy how time flies by so quickly. I do hope you all had a wonderful week and are ready for the weekend. It is a hot day outside here in Utah, so there is not a better place to cool off than in your craft room. It is time to show you some fun projects that will bring a lot of creative inspiration to your day! So sit back, relax, stay cool, and enjoy!
Summer Fun By Anna-Karin Evaldsson
Summer is definitely one of my favorite seasons. I enjoy the outdoors and I especially love to scrapbook all the fun summer memories. This adorable layout really will inspire you to get your summer photos scrapbooked. Do you love mixed media layouts as much as I do? If you are an experienced scrapper or just starting out, you will love the techniques that Anna-Karin has to share with you. Sometimes you just don’t know how to get started or where to begin. Anna-Karin shows us how to build from the foundation up using different mediums or whatever supplies you may have on hand.
Mixed media is such a great way to use up some of those leftover embellishments you have stashed away, along with some of your stencils, inks, paste, and mist to give it a beautiful flare. This summer layout is not only fun but very whimsical as well. Let me take you on over to Layers Of Ink where you can see a step-by-step tutorial and the details of Anna-Karin’s layout. Step out of your comfort zone and see what you can create; you will be sure to be amazed at your mixed media creations. Have so much fun creating!
For My Foxy Friend By Kay Miller
What’s not to love about this adorable little fox? Adding dimension really brings a unique and interesting detail to this card. This is a technique you can use with almost any stamps and dies, and it adds some really fun creativity to your card. I love the beauty of buying stamps that have a coordinating die to cut it out. When you don’t have the coordinating die, you can still achieve the same look just by doing some fussy cutting and adhering it with adhesive foam. This gives great dimension and really helps pop out the image.
Then we have that fun background! Kay created this by using distress inks along with some sprinkled water, then adding a strip of black striped patterned paper along the bottom edge. Her images were colored with Copic makers. Kay has such a talent of bring her images to life with her beautiful coloring. What a lucky friend to receive this adorable card. Let’s go on over to My Joyful Moments where you can see the other fun projects she will share with you. You will leave feeling so inspired!
