Scrapbooking with Love and Lemon Crafts

Scrapbooking with Love and Lemon Crafts by Becki Adams for @scrapbookexpo #ssbe2018 #ssbeblog #loveandlemoncrafts

Hey there Stamp & Scrapbook Expo friends and fans, Becki here, for another edition of Inspiration Station. I’m here to share a scrapbooking project with Love and Lemon Crafts. When the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo team was in Phoenix at Creativation last month, we visited the most adorable booth called Love and Lemon Crafts. Love and Lemon Crafts was kind enough to send me a few supplies to play with. I love scrapbooking with Love and Lemon Crafts. I had a lot of fun creating a layout and two cards to share with you today.

The product that I was most excited to work with for the blog post was the chipboard alphabets. I fell in love with these when I saw them in the booth. They’re the most gorgeous woodgrain with either gold or silver accents. The chipboard is the perfect thickness. It’s thick enough to add a little bit of dimension but not thick enough that it adds a lot of bulk. The best part about the chipboard is that it went through my sewing machine like butter.

On the layout, I created a big bold title with the gold chipboard letters and three large tags. Because this layout is about my daughter and nieces, I chose purple, pink, and mint colored tags. The layout has a central design with the title on the left and the photos on the right. Along the center of the layout, I created a line of embellishments. My favorite embellishment(s) on this layout is the twine pompoms. These pompoms were easy to make and only took a few seconds. I wrapped the twine around two of my fingers (not too tight though). When I had several strands wrapped around my fingers I tied the strands together and snipped the loops apart to create pompoms. The pompoms are adhered to the layout with a strong liquid adhesive. In the center of each pompom I added a button. Love and Lemon Crafts has the most adorable buttons in the most adorable jars.

Not only did I love scrapbooking with Love and Lemon Craft products, I also loved creating cards with their products.

The background of this “thanks” card is created with yellow washi tape. The yellow washi has the cutest designs. I had to use the chipboard letters to create the sentiment on this card. The hot pink tag made the perfect background for the sentiment. A couple of die cuts, buttons, and some twine finished this card off perfectly.

The second card I created is very simple but used much of the same design elements. Of course, I had to use a few more of the chipboard letters on a tag. This time I stitched along the middle of each letter with gold thread. Like I mentioned earlier, this chipboard is perfect for stitching through. Again all it took to complete this card was a couple of die cuts, some twine and a button.

Don’t wait, run over to Love and Lemon Crafts. I’m willing to bet that you’ll love scrapbooking with Love and Lemon Crafts too. Thank you for stopping by today, I’ll see you next week.

Hi Kris, I used the chipboard letters from Love & Lemon crafts. No need for dies 🙂 I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any more questions. Thank you for stopping by! ~Becki
