Sundays With Lorraine

Hello, my crafty friends, and welcome back to the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo blog.  We are coming into the final stretch of our 2018 show season, but not to worry, we still have eight shows left.  Click here and I will be happy to escort you over to our website so you can start planning that much needed weekend away with your creative peeps.  With that said, I think it’s time to begin today’s creative therapy.

Escape To Paradise Layout with Emmy

How sweet is this adorable layout designed by the talented Emmy?  The collection used is BoBunny’s Escape to Paradise.  The bright colors and fun sea-themed design are perfect for all your summer pics.  I hope this collection has inspired you to transfer some of those priceless photos off your phone and into an album.  Happy scrapping!

Don’t you love the subtle texture scattered throughout the layout?  Emmy distressed the edges of the pattern paper before adhering it to the cardstock and added a dimensional white layer using texture paste and a stickable stencil.  I am in love with Bo Bunny’s stickable stencils – they are amazing to work with and if you haven’t already, I would definitely pick up a few.  For a complete supply list, click here and I will be happy to escort you over to Bo Bunny’s Blog so you can take down some notes.

Let’s Get Lost Card By Betsy Veldman

Maybe it’s the traveler in me, but I instantly fell in love with this new stamp set series by Papertrey Ink titled Glorious Globes.  What a unique and trendy, yet still classic, collection that is perfect for both masculine and feminine projects.  The possibilities are endless!

Pair the basic set with the coordinating monthly Glorious Globes mini-series to create projects that say bon voyage, congratulations to a recent grad, or to simply appreciate a fun, map-inspired motif.  Click here and I’ll take you over to the Papertrey Ink blog so you can check out some of the other adorable cards that their amazing design team has created.  There is even a short video by Lizzie Jones herself sharing a bit about how the collection came to be.

Tropical Vellum Frame with Jen

Jen had me at vellum and white heat embossing.  I absolutely love the elegant feel it brings to a card.  The vellum heat embossed sentiment sitting on that gorgeous, inky background is a beautiful sight, don’t you agree?

If you feel inspired and would like to follow along as Jen shares just how easily this sweet card comes together, click here and I’ll take you over for a visit.  Who wouldn’t feel the love that was put into this handmade treasure?  Big hugs to Jen for being such a consent inspiration to her fellow paper crafters.

5 Ingredient Summer Pesto Pasta Salas (Aka Costo Pasta)

What would you say to a delicious summer pasta salad that requires only five simple ingredients and takes about 15 minutes to prepare?  I know, bring it on!  Click here and I will take you over to Your Cup Of Cake so you can print out the recipe, you are going to love it.  It’s the salad that keeps on giving, because if you’re lucky and have leftovers, you’ll be happy to know that the salad is even better the next day for lunch.  Cook once, eat twice is a wonderful thing.

I look forward to seeing you in person at any of our shows – I’ll meet you at the Creativity Center and we will create something beautiful together.  I’ll bring the chocolate!  ?

I hope you have an amazing week ahead of you and stay crafty, my friends.

Hugs to all!
