Sundays With Lorraine

Hello, my crafty friends, and welcome back to the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo blog.  I can’t believe how fast our show season has flown by!  We will be having our final bravo in Ontario, California on November 2nd & 3rd, so I hope to see you there.  It truly makes my heart sing when I am able to craft with you in person at the Creativity Center, so gather up your creative peeps and start planning that much needed weekend away, you deserve it.  Let’s get today’s creative therapy started, shall we?  I hope to see many of you at our final bravo in Ontario, California, I’ll meet you all at the Creativity Center.

Traveler’s Journal: Bring on the Jingle by Kelly Lunceford

I am so ready for some holiday crafting, and I hope you are, too.  The holidays can be an extremely busy time for us, so I thought you might be inspired to create a fun traveler’s notebook to help keep you on track and keep your holidays running smoothly.

Kelly used Papertrey Ink’s Traveler’s Journal: December Stamp set to embellish this adorable notebook.  This is the perfect set for documenting your December memories in your traveler’s journal.  There are fun holiday images, sentiments, label elements, and tiny typed words.  This set is not limited to scrapbooking and journal projects as they will work perfectly on cards, tags, and obviously planners and traveler’s notebooks, too!

Stock Your Stash with Essential Cards by Carissa

Do you like to make cards ahead of time, or do you make cards as you need them?  Since I’m always on the road with Stamp & Scrapbook Expo I like to make cards ahead of time, especially when it comes to sensitive occasions that call for words of prayer and encouragement.

As Carissa said, when someone you love is going through something difficult, time is of the essence and being able to reach out to them quickly can mean so much to them.  With a little help from our creative friend Carissa you, too, can have a stack of handmade cards ready to go when you need to send a hug through the mail.  Click here and I will be happy to escort you over to the My Favorite Things blog so you can check out the short video showing just how easily these sweet cards come together.

Crafting with Jane Davenport Markers with Angela Tombari

These fabulous handmade storage cases really inspired me to break out several fun stamp sets and create a few pencil/makeup bags to give to my creative peeps for the holidays; I hope they inspire you as well.

Angela made her own cases but not to worry, if you don’t sew you can always find blank pre-made cases and customize them to your liking.  Click here and I will take you over to the Spellbinders blog so you can take down some notes.

Stupid Good Chili Recipe

With the cooler weather upon us, its time for some of our favorite comfort food recipes.  Chili is a simple comfort food that feeds a crowd; it’s so hearty and filling and totally easy to throw together.  What’s not to love?  Click here and I will be happy to take you over to Your Cup Of Cake food blog so you can print out the recipe.

My hope is to inspire you to be fearless when it comes to your creativity, to try new things, and most important to have fun with your art.  Thanks for visiting and I hope you have an amazing week in front of you.
