Hello fellow crafters, Sean here to share with you the gorgeous cards that were the most appreciated cards and winners from our card swaps at our first three Stamp & Scrapbook Expo shows! It’s amazing to me how truly talented and creative you all are, I’m in awe.
Irving, Texas Show:
The first card in Irving was made by Mark Acosta. This adorable bumblebee card is a shaker card, how cute!! The front of the card was embossed and hand inked. Mark also used glossy accents on the wings of this adorable bumblebee. This is just the cutest Birthday card with the sentiment on the inside saying, “happy bee-day”. Awesome job, Mark!!
The next card swap winner at the Irving, Texas show goes to Geneva with this gorgeous Birthday card. It was stamped with a beautiful purple floral stamp and a purple die cut flower added over it. She finished it off with a purple rhinestone. The back of this card was stamped with the sentiment, “Warmest wishes for a happy birthday”. How amazing would it be to receive this gorgeous card? I would love it! Geneva, this is a gorgeous card!
Pleasanton, CA Show:
The first card at the Pleasanton card swap was made by Penny Warner. This stunning card folds in multiple different ways and each way has a different sentiment until you get to the end. I would love to receive this for Valentine’s Day!! It’s hand embellished with lots of hearts, rhinestones and stickers! Just stunning!! Congrats Penny!
The next card swap winner in Pleasanton was Debbi with this super cute birthday card. She used a paper that looked like the back of a pair of jeans, cut a slit in the top of the pocket and tucked in this adorable hand colored little mouse and finished it with a singe rhinestone in the middle of the dandelion. The inside sentiment reads, “Happy Birthday”. Isn’t it just adorable!?!
Pomona, CA Show:
The first card from the Pomona card swap was made by Susan Malone. This is a super sweet window shaker card complete with drapery! Susan used stitched dies to add an extra special touch to the layers and die cut some beautiful greenery and flowers to put on the bottom of the window. Each flower has a small rhinestone in the middle to add a final touch. After wrapping a piece of twine around one of the layers she finished it off with a banner die cut stamped with the sentiment, “this is my happy place”. What a beautiful card Susan!!
Susan also made these super cool rocks before the Expo and hid them around the entire show for people to find!! I was one of the lucky people to find one and can’t wait to keep it in my office!! Soo creative, thanks for such a fun idea Susan!!
The next card from the Pomona swap was made by first time Expo goer, Marina Vazquez. This is a super cute calendar easel card. Marina used a fairy stamp set made by Lawn Fawn and the mushroom die is by Elizabeth Craft Designs. Isn’t this just the sweetest card!?! I would love to add this to my desk as well!
Marina and her friends also spent the weekend with me in the crop and won the costume contest for our Under the Sea themed night!
They also decorated their table beautifully, complete with a photo booth. They were even handing out these delicious chocolates that were packaged in handmade packaging.
Thank you to all the card swap attendees!! Hope you enjoyed seeing all the creativity at our shows!

So many talented people. Very inspiring!!!!
I love Mark from Irving’s card. I was in this class and it was the first card he had ever made!!!! I wished my first card that I made looked that good!! Very talented people.
Love the cards! And I love the idea with the rocks! Maybe I will do that to surprise people at the Marlborough Show! What a cute idea!
Wonderful cards! I WANT A ROCK!!!
The cards are fantastic, the colors are super.
If Charlie Brown had gotten one of these rocks he would have been happy. I know I would.
Great cards but also great costumes & table decor!
