Latest & Greatest: Card Making with Jen Hadfield

Hey everyone! Roree here with today’s Make It Monday post.

The 2019 show season has started and our first show was this past weekend in Irving, TX. If you were in the area, I hope you got the chance to join us. Our next show is this coming weekend in Pleasanton, CA on March 1st & 2nd. Stamp & Scrapbook Expo will be teaching five “Latest & Greatest” workshops at this show: Card Making, Cool Tools, Planners, Scrapbooking, and Stamping. Today I am going to be creating with new products from our Latest & Greatest: Card Making class: Jen Hadfield‘s Along the Way collection.

If you take the class, you will receive this sample kit which includes the 6×8 Paper Pad, Embellishments, and Icon Ephemera:

With these items, I created this card:

I love the darling images in this collection and when i saw this little girl die cut in the Icon Ephemera pack, I knew she would be perfect for the focus of my card.

I wanted a soft and flowy background and I thought that watercolors would be perfect. I painted a soft blue background on watercolor paper using watercolor pencils and a paintbrush.

I stamped a sentiment from a stamp set I had in my stash and added some enamel dots from the Embellishments pack for the Os in the sentiment.

I framed it all with papers from the 6×8 Paper Pad to finish.

This Latest & Greatest: Card Making workshop featuring Jen Hadfield‘s Along the Way collection will also be taught at our upcoming shows in Pomona, Milwaukee, Orlando, and Puyallup. We would love to see you at one of these shows!

I hope you enjoyed today’s Make It! Monday project. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Cute card! I’m sad that I missed the Expo this weekend. I just moved to TX and Irving is one hour away. Hubby had to work so I couldn’t go ? perhaps next time. I’ll keep my eye out for the next one! ?
