Fun Day

Today’s inspiration is designed by Hilary Kanwischer. I highly recommend stopping by the Emma’s Paperie blog for a visit. You are sure to find some great ideas. Fun Day   This is one of those go to sketches. It really can be adapted to fit any occasion. Just switch out the sentiment and change the patterned paper to whatever you have in your stash.  I like to make cards ahead of time, so I typically leave the sentiment blank than add it when the occasion arises.  Having cards ready to go at any moment has saved me plenty of times!Fine Details

These adorable patterned chipboard accents by Crate Paper really complete this heartfelt card.  The layers from the rosettes add detailed dimension to the card.

I love the versatility of this Tim Holtz  Sizzix die, it can stand alone or look how cute when you layer it with some  chipboard accents. A real-time saver when it comes to making rosettes, it cuts the rosette, the medallion center as well as adding  all the perfect  score lines. I’d like to share a tip on creating these adorable rosettes that I discovered on the Sizzix website. After you cut out the rosette and before you begin to fold it,  try adding tissue tape to the back. This way when you fold the rosette you won’t have a problem with tearing. 🙂
