Welcome back on this beautiful Saturday, my crafty friends! Thank you for spending a bit of your Saturday with me. I hope you will jump into trying something new today. The most important thing is to have fun and enjoy your creative road. I hope you will enjoy the fun spring projects that I have to share with you today and that you will be inspired to create some of your own.
Cherish By Nathalie DeSousa
Don’t you just love all of the layering on this beautiful layout? Nathalie really shows how the layering complements her photo. What a great way to take a piece of white cardstock and turn it into a gorgeous page. One thing to in mind is that the background should take a back seat to your photos. Nathalie gives a perfect example of how to include an artsy style without overpowering the precious photo.
Nathalie used a bit of black acrylic paint for her background. This enhances the details of the embellishments and also the title on her layout. A few drops of gold and white ink complete the background. Nathalie put the focus on her title and picture. Always have your photos be the focal point of your layout. Click here and let’s take a visit to the Living An Inspired Life blog where you will see many of Nathalie’s wonderful projects. You will also be able to see her step-by-step instructions on how she created this layout. You won’t want to miss out on any of her fabulous projects.
Thanks By Amy Rysavy
I just love Easter and this time of the year. When I discovered this whimsical card created by Amy Rysavy, I knew I just had to share it with you. It is a perfect time to start creating your Easter cards. There are so many fun stamp images to color that bring a spring feeling into the air. Grab your colored pencils or markers and begin coloring. You will find your imagination running wild.
I am a firm believer that we need to let people in our lives know just how important they are and how much we appreciate them. I can’t think of a better way to express that than to send one of your handmade cards through the mail. What a sweet way of sharing your feelings and they will have received a treasured gift. Let me escort you over to Prairie Paper & Ink where Amy will share a video tutorial on how she created this darling card. Take some time to visit her blog; you will be over-the-top inspired by Amy.
Vintage Altered Wine Bottle By Solange Marques
An empty wine bottle makes a great vase or decor piece on its own, so today I want to share this fabulous and unique vintage altered wine bottle. When you are not feeling particularly creative, grab a stencil and let it do all the hard work for you. Solange created her wine bottle using BoBunny Stickable stencils, mixed media sprays, and pastes. As you can see, her wine bottle turned out fabulously. What a masterpiece she created.
Solange began by covering her bottle with Gesso and then added a few different yet similar colors of acrylic paint to give it some texture and interest. Using her Stickable Stencil she applied some modeling paste over the stencil. What a fabulous way of creating texture and dimension. This is just the beginning, so let me escort you over to BoBunny’s blog where you can see a full video on how Solange created this outstanding vintage altered wine bottle. You will want to start collecting wine bottles after you try this fun technique. Bottles can create a beautiful home decor piece for your home.

The combination of rich ingredients produces a decadent, caramel-soaked cake that is sure to be a big hit! Everyone who tries it loves it. I will say it will only last one day in the fridge. It is one of those easy and quick desserts that will be a go-to when you need a scrumptious and fast dessert, and will definitely put smiles on many faces.
This Better Than Anything Cake is literally just that. Chocolate cake, caramel, sweetened condensed milk, toffee, and cool whip make the best poke cake possible on this earth. I know many of you have made this, but if you are like me and haven’t, then you truly need to make it. It is so easy, so good, and so ADDICTING! Come with me over to Chef In Training so you can write down the recipe. Have fun baking and happy spring, my friends!
