Free Spirit By Nicole Doiron
I hope you are as inspired by this beautiful piece of art as I am. Working with your imagination is all about creativity, along with using it to take something as simple as a piece of paper and turning it into a beautiful piece of art. Nicole portrayed an outdoor setting, so she incorporated a grey wood-grain pattern as her background and fussy cut lots of beautiful butterflies from patterned paper. She added some layered flourishes, simply embossed with white, that went along beautifully with the butterflies in flight.
There are so many different color variations you can use to create a beautiful layout. Put your own personality into it and see what you can come up with; your project will be amazing and truly inspiring. Take a minute or two and visit The Dusty Attic; I can guarantee that you will find this blog very stimulating and innovative. You will want to jump right in and start creating your very own layout. A big thank you to Nicole for all of your wonderful inspiration!
Who’s Ready For Fall By Emma Toon
It’s hard to believe that autumn is almost here! It is a beautiful season full of majestic colors. With that said, it is the perfect time of year to start taking beautiful fall photos of your precious family out in Mother Nature on a family excursion. Today I want to share this adorable fall traveler’s notebook from Simple Stories. How fun to set up some pretty fall pockets, decorated inserts, page markers, and all the things that make your traveler’s notebook unique.
This darling traveler’s notebook was created with the super foxy Forever Fall collection by Emma Toon. This is also great for keeping a daily diary or bullet journal. Who is ready for fall? I am looking forward to the pretty leaves, pumpkin spice drinks, playing in the leaves with my grandchildren, beautiful fall walks, and much more. I have to say autumn is one of my favorite seasons. It’s sad to see summer leave, however, it’s time to enjoy the beauty of fall. Let me take you on over to the Simple Stories blog where you will see all of the supplies you’ll need to create your own traveler’s notebook. This truly inspires me to get started on my fall notebook very soon. I’d love to hear in the comments about what you love about autumn!
Fall Banner By Laura Silva
It is such a beautiful time of the year so why not bring more of fall into your home with this adorable fall banner. I love the warm tones of autumn, and when I came upon this fun banner I knew it would be a perfect fall home decor piece for my home. I love to make banners with my We R Memory Keepers banner punch board. It makes it so easy to create banners quickly and easily.
Laura also used a mini alphabet punch board to spell out the word “FALL”, along with adding some brown rosettes behind each letter to give the letters a pop. Next, she added some pretty fall ephemera to the two end banner pieces and the letters. If you love banners and have not used the banner punch board this is certainly something you may want to invest in. It is very fun and can be used for so many different occasions. Let me take you on over to the We R Memory Keepers blog where you will see each step that Laura took to create this adorable fall banner. This is certainly a festive banner to add to your fall decor.
Puff-Pastry Wrapped Pears By Elizabeth LaBau
This yummy dessert is impressive and delicious and the perfect recipe to make your guests feel special. A honey of a salute to late-summer pear season, this cozy dessert looks both elegant and decadent. Doesn’t this wrapped up puff pastry pear resemble a little beehive? This is definitely one fall dessert you don’t want to miss out on!
You will be so surprised to learn how easy they are to make! Serve them with chocolate espresso sauce as the perfect bittersweet accompaniment. Why not add plain chocolate sauce, caramel, sauce, or even raspberry sauce to choose from? Now that your mouth is watering, let me escort you on over to SugarHero where you can write down the recipe and directions that Elizabeth shares with us. This is definitely one of those recipes that you will hang on to and use over and over again. These are a perfect treat for your family and friends and you will be sure to put a smile on their faces.
