Saturdays-with-LeAnn

Another fabulous weekend is here! Once again, I thank you for sharing part of it with me. Today you are sure to be inspired by so many wonderful and talented designers. I hope you will take the time to enjoy and create some of the fabulous projects I have to share with you.

This watercolor style layout certainly caught my eye. This is definitely one of those layouts that will make you want to jump out of your comfort zone and try a new technique. You will be so surprised at what your creative mind will come up with. This fabulous layout was created by one of my favorite designers, Gabrielle Pollacco.

You will learn many techniques and also enjoy a new style that you might not have tried before. What a fabulous way to display your priceless photos and get them into your photo albums.

Heartfelt Sympathy by Penny Ward

Sympathy cards are usually the hardest to create. When you’re having a difficult time and your heart is heavy, it’s the hardest time to be creative. I discovered this beautiful card on Penny Wards’ blog “Ink.”

Heartfelt Sympathy

Using a curved border along with Delicata Metallics created a very elegant feel to this card. I love the texture and layering that Penny created. I hope this will give you some great ideas on how to create a beautiful sympathy card. By simply switching out the sentiment, this design also lends itself to many other types of cards. A handmade card is such a great way to bring some sunshine to a friend or loved one’s day.

Lemonade by Jessica Rone

What a perfect card for summer! This card has all of the fun summer colors and great use of details and layering. Don’t you just love the sentiment? (The inside says: “I am here to offer unsolicited advice and criticism.” 🙂 ) It will surely put a smile on the face of the lucky person who receives this adorable card!

Stamping and coloring can be so much fun. Click here and I will take you over to The Cat’s Pajamas site so you can check out all of their fun stamps sets. Think of how much fun you will have and the many possibilities to create your next card. Not only fast and easy, but also a lot of fun to create!

Flowers In A Mason Jar by Anna Karin

If you are a mason jar lover, this is one fun project that you can create filling your jar with quilled flowers. Can you just imagine this sitting in your home, or even on your porch? What a great idea to give as a birthday present or as an “I Love You.” Your imagination will be endless as you start making these adorable flowers.

Flowers In A Mason Jar

The mason jar is colored with alcohol inks, and the fun flowers are made with the Tim Holtz Tiny Tattered Florals die set. These flowers are so fun and easy to make in any color, or with a variety of pattern papers. They look great using the kraft-core cardstock as well. Click here for a full video tutorial and tips on how to create these pretty flowers and mason jar. Think of all of the possibilities you can do with your beautiful flowers!

Magic Cake by Kitchen Nostalgia

This sponge cake is pure magic and made with simple ingredients. You will make only one batter but after baking, you get a cake with three distinct layers! One dense cake on the bottom, custard layer in the middle, and a fluffy sponge cake layer on top. If you like custard, you are going to love this one!

Come with me over to Kitchen Nostalgia for great Instructions and a list of ingredients. To make it a little bit more elegant, just add some whipped cream. Now, who could resist this? Enjoy!

I hope you have a very wonderful weekend. Thank you for spending part of your Saturday with me. Have a great week and I will see you next Saturday!
