Happy New Year! Are you ready for 2016? Any goals in mind? I know it will be another great year of creativity!  Since it is the beginning of the new year, here are some fun and inspirational projects to get you started for year ahead. Take some time and do the things that make you happy!

Precious By Di Garling

I am really in baby mode, as I will be getting a new little grandson in just one week. (Can’t tell I’m excited, can you?) There’s just nothing quite as sweet as a brand new baby. That is why I wanted to share this precious layout with you.  Not only did it get me more excited about our baby coming, it actually got me into my craft room and I created this layout for my new little grandson.

Precious

This amazing layout was created by Di Garling. Such a masterpiece!  Di is always so inspirational – I just love her projects! And this photo is so precious. Click here for a wonderful tutorial; you will love watching how she put her beautiful creation put together. You’ll also love the way she uses her chipboard, especially how she used that clothes line of baby bits.

Sew Amazing By Julia Stainton

This is one of those fun cards that you can create by digging to the bottom of your stash of products and putting some of your favorite embellishments together!  Don’t you just love it when you are working on a card and it comes together so nicely?  What a fun way to share how amazing that special person is to you!

Sew Amazing

Julia Stainton did an amazing job using the Die-namics stitched dies to create that handmade feeling on her stitched card. I would like to say thank you to Julia for sharing her fun design. Be sure to visit her blog Belle Papier whenever you feel you need a burst of inspiration. Have fun creating!

Feel Better Soon By Michele Kovack

Are you ready to create something bright and fun? This cheery card will brighten your day, as well as the recipient of this beautiful card. I just love the watercoloring on this card. Grab your favorite stencil and distress inks, along with your watercolor paper. You will really have fun stamping, embossing, and coloring!

Using the same stamps, you can create another card in a monochromatic scheme.

Thoughts

This is such a great way of getting rid of those gloomy winter days. Here in Utah we have had so much snow, and I could use a little brightness to cheer up my day! This beautiful coloring was created by Michele Kovack.  Be sure to pop on over to Thoughts Of A Cardmaking Scrapbooker. You will receive so much inspiration, not to mention how excited you will be to start on that next project. Thank you, Michele, for your fabulous inspiration!

Take Time By Lynne Forsythe

I was so inspired when I came upon this stunning canvas artistry. I think what struck my eye on this beautiful masterpiece is how Lynne shared the idea of “Taking time to do what makes us happy.”  I love this statement! Don’t we all need to take some time for ourselves?

Take Time

What a beautiful piece of décor to add to your home. This will for sure catch the eye of your family and friends who stop by to visit. Lynne has such wonderful talent working with colors and textures. Click here so I can escort you over to her blog where you will find how she created this beautiful canvas décor.

Orange Hot Chocolate By Shinee

What tastes better on a cold winter day than a cup of hot chocolate?!  This is one of those must-have recipes, and will spice up hot chocolate just by adding a splash of orange flavoring. This cup of delicious soul-warming, toe-curling hot chocolate is the ultimate winter drink.

Orange Hot Chocolate

Adding the orange it gives it a nice balance. Perfectly chocolatey, yet not overly thick that you can’t enjoy every sip. Be sure to visit Sweet and Savory, where Shinee will give you the most outstanding and delicious recipes ever. You will not want to leave your kitchen!

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope that this year brings you good health, happiness, and some quality time for what you love to do. Thank you for supporting us here at Weekly Scrapper. We are committed to bringing you wonderful crafting inspiration throughout the new year ahead! (And we love adding in a few of our favorite recipes for you to enjoy.) Have a fabulous week and I will see you back next Saturday!

I sumply love your cards. I have never done the watercolor spritzing. Do you have a video of any of the cards above?
