French Country Journal By Kathy Clement

Microwave Flower Press BY June Olsen

Are you one who loves to preserve and press flowers?  It can be so discouraging waiting for the flowers to dry before you can create with them.  Pressing flowers is a wonderful way to preserve their beauty, and the process couldn’t be more simple.  Today I will share a fun technique that will only take minutes.  Who would have ever thought to use a microwave?  Microwave flower pressing really preserves the colors and hues of the flowers and foliage much better than traditional flower pressing.  Microwave pressing flowers offers a wonderful way to savor the beauty of summer long after it’s blooms have faded from the garden.

Adding your flowers to a beautiful frame is a great way to display the flowers and enjoy them each day of the year.  These will make wonderful gifts!  I am thinking about making a few extra for the holidays.  I know many of my friends and family would love this.  I always have extra frames on hand, so this would make a beautiful gift and almost a free project. Pineapple Upside Down Trifle By Lisa Jorgensen

This recipe is Incredible!  Layers of cake, glazed pineapple, and cream… it is sure to be a hit whenever you serve it!  This dessert will taste just like paradise.  It is colorful and pretty in the little jars.  The best part is that it is so easy that when you feel like something delicious, you can just whip this up quickly!
