Sundays With Lorraine

Happy fall, my crafty friends, and welcome back to Weekly Scrapper. I’ve just returned home from our Sacramento show and I am happy to report that a fun time was had by all at the Creativity Center. Hugs to all those creative people that I had the privilege of meeting in person. I am getting a little melancholy knowing that there is only one show left for the year. I miss you already! If you happen to be in the area we would love to see you at our Ontario show, our final bravo of 2017.

Too Cute to Spook by Nicole Nowosad

Upon discovering this sweet Halloween layout on the Fancy Pants blog I knew I had to share it with you.  Nicole was on fire with the new Spellbound collection!  I love how she took advantage of the 6X6 paper pads by cutting out circles and carried that theme throughout the layout. What a great background for those spooktacular pics that you will be taking in two days. One can never have too many Halloween layouts, right?

.

I hope that you’ve been inspired to print out some of those adorable pictures from your phone and create that next page in your scrapbook. With a little help from our creative friend Nicole, you can crank out several pages in no time. Have a wonderful Halloween and don’tforget to take lots of pics.

Nice Normal Family Card by Eret Pank

Eret had me at cats. I am a serious cat lover – big or small, I love them all. I instantly fell in love with this artsy stamp set by Stampendous titled Whiskers. This stamp set is on my must-have list when I get to our Ontario show next week. This stamp is a nice size (3.75 X 5) and is perfect to cover an entire card front and still allow a bit of room for matting your image.

Many of the stamps created by designer Laurel Burch are perfect for the coloring enthusiast in us. This fun stamp is equally at home colored in Distress inks in brown tones or colored in a rainbow of bright colors for a totally different look, what’s not to love?  I hope you’ve been inspired to break out you favorite stamps and coloring mediums and create something beautiful today. Be sure to check out Sparkle N Sprinkles blog for a complete supply list.  All items used on this fun card can be purchased online at Sparkle N Sprinkle or if you at one of our shows I highly recommend stopping by the Sparkle N Sprinkle booth.

Three Trees by Elaine

Would you believe that this sweet card started out as some scraps that were created by cleaning a brayer onto a piece of cardstock? Now that’s why we save our scraps, a true trash-to-treasure story.  I love it when a beautiful card comes together this quickly.

There is something incredibly nostalgic and significant about the annual cascade of autumn leaves, so enjoy them while you can. I’d like to send out a warm hug to Elaine for showing us that quick and easy can be beautiful when you use your creativity.  Click here and I will escort you over to her blog Craft-E-Place so you can take a closer look at how this darling card was created.

Chicken Alfredo Roll-ups

Are you scratching your head thinking “What am I going to make for dinner tonight?” If so, you are going to love these yummy easy-to-make roll-ups. They take about 20 minutes to prepare and 30 minutes to bake and you are done.  I typically throw together a simple salad and, of course, some nice crusty Italian bread and I have happy campers at dinner time.

This is also a great recipe that can be made ahead of time, then when you are ready for dinner just throw it in the oven and bake for about 30 minutes and you’re good to go. Click here and I will be happy to take you over to spend some quality time with Julie so you can take notes and write down the recipe. I love that this recipe uses things that I always have on hand, making it that much more user-friendly. Enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful week ahead of you. I’m off to our Ontario show and I hope to see you there, it’s our last show of the season.  I don’t know what happened to the year, I feel like it went by in the blink of an eye. Happy Halloween, my crafty friends. I’ll see you next Sunday and we’ll get a head start on our holiday crafting.
