Hey everyone! Roree here with today’s Make It Monday post. Our next show is in Irving, TX this week on March 23rd & 24th. Stamp & Scrapbook Expo will be teaching four “Latest & Greatest” workshops at this show: Card Making, Cool Tools, Scrapbooking, and Stamping. Today I am going to be creating with new products from our Latest & Greatest: Cool Tools class: We R Memory Keepers‘ Mini Envelope Punch Board.
If you take the class, you will receive the Mini Envelope Punch Board:
This is a fun, little tool and so easy to use! With it, I created this envelope:
The punch board has a sizing chart printed directly on the board, and it also comes with an instruction sheet showing how to use the board along with the sizes/dimensions to create some larger envelopes.
To create my square envelope, I started with a sheet of paper. (For this sample, I am creating a 3 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ envelope using a 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ paper panel.) I placed the panel at the 2 3/4″ Score Line mark indicated by the size chart.
I punched the panel at the center creating a notch.
I repeated this step on each side of the paper panel.
I lined up each side of the panel at the Score Line mark again and scored the panel at each corner.
I turned the punch board around and punched each tip of the paper panel to round the corners.
I folded in two of the opposing flaps and adhered one flap over the other.
Then, I adhered a third flap to the first two to create the envelope’s pocket.
See… so easy! Now, back to my project.
I got a little inspired by those cute, nesting Matryoshka dolls and decided to make some nesting envelopes for a mini card.
I started with a 4″ square envelope and sized each of the following envelopes 1/2″ square smaller until I reached a 2″ square envelope. (I used Pebbles‘ Patio Party collection to create each of the envelopes and card.)
I finished by creating a 1 7/8″ square card to fit in the smallest envelope.
I thought it would be a fun way to give someone a cute mini card. It builds a little suspense for a fun and tiny reveal. 🙂
This Latest & Greatest: Cool Tools workshop featuring We R Memory Keepers‘ Mini Envelope Punch Board will also be taught at our upcoming shows in Pomona, Orlando, Milwaukee, and Puyallup. We would love to see you there!
I hope you enjoyed today’s Make It! Monday project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
