Latest & Greatest: Cool Tools with We R Memory Keepers

Hey everyone! Roree here with today’s Make It Monday post. Our next show is in Orlando, FL on April 27-28. Stamp & Scrapbook Expo will be teaching four “Latest & Greatest” workshops at this show: Card Making, Cool Tools, Scrapbooking, and Stamping. Today I am going to be creating with new products from our Latest & Greatest: Cool Tools class: We R‘s Hand Tool Kit.

If you take the class, you will receive the Hand Tool Kit which contains detail scissors, a bone folder, a craft knife, a paper piercer/stylus, and a mini rotary cutter.

With the tools in the kit, I created this card:

First, I used the mini rotary cutter to create the mounds for my flower garden.

I placed the paper panel on my glass cutting mat and with a little pressure and a quick curving motion, I had two wavy mounds. I flipped one of the panels over and adhered them together on my background panel.

Next, I cut out some flowers and leaves using the Quarter Flowers with Leaves die set from The Stamps of Life along with a few stems using the details scissors from the kit.

Then, I arranged the flowers and leaves on my card base.

I used the paper piercer in the kit to punch holes in the flower centers to add some hand stitching.

At the last minute, I decided to square up my panel before adding it to my card.

The tools helped me add some fun, personal touches to my card.

It is a great kit of essential tools every crafter should have in their stash.

This Latest & Greatest: Cool Tools workshop featuring We R‘s Hand Tool Kit will also be taught at our upcoming shows in Milwaukee, and Puyallup. We would love to see you there!

I hope you enjoyed today’s Make It! Monday project. Thanks so much for stopping by!

I have a rotary cutter for paper never think to use it because I think it is awkward to use. This looks like something that is easier to fit in the hand and easier to control..Looking forward to seeing it demonstrated.
